What a curious device. Does one take the blood out to circulate it, or is it done in situ?

Everything ( including the two gauges that somehow did not end up in the photo ) except the lamp was $1 or less. The lamp was $3

This device is in fact a manual vibrator.

Turn the handle and a little round foot on the base moves up and down slightly at around 4,000rpm.

Place this on the skin, and it 'excites the blood'...

My word, how thrilling! From the condition of the handle it looks like it has been used a lot.

Zero energy vibrator for the post-oil economy world just round the corner?

Wow - that looks amazingly good for something old - almost like it was made and then never used.

Oh my, I'm jealous. Even if you don't wire it up, thats would be the perfect box to store your treasure.

Or maybe I've just watched too many movies.

I agree with the others. That is an absolute treasure!

Anyway, my non-steamy roomate was out touring yard sales over the weekend and bought himself an old rolling toolchest full of stuff for $80. Most of what it contained was old bits of hardware (nuts and bolts, hinges, misc automotive bits. And this old brass(?) fire extinguisher. Its fairly small, about 16 inches in length. Lucky bum.

The motion of the monkey's arm seems less like 'shaving' and more 'face-hacking'. I was reminded of the razor weilding  Monkey Butler from the 1986 film

I do not think I have shown my latest find:

It is an oillamp that, presumeably, still works. Regardless, my current plan is to make it a 'geist lamp'; powered by my patented crystalised ectoplasm technology Grin Or in other words, a green LED powered lamp Wink

That is indeed a interesting feat Smiley Multiple people call it a mining lamp, but given it's pristine state, I doubt that Wink
