The ceramic elements in these lights make great knife sharpeners. Not really flea market find, for which I apologise, but I didn't want to clutter up the main forum with this! I've acquired these two (mouse for scale): Which I'm struggling to think of what to do with... Does anyone have any ideas? (preferably not involving the name "Clankington"?) |

Found three of these interesting boxes at a local thrift store and couldn't resist them. That's a little Buddha medallion on the door. Don't know what I'm gonna do with them. I could see a shrunken head or a skull or something put in one as a relic. Portable Absinthe bar? I have seen table-top stills...? |

They're rather pretty.
I'd put a light fitting inside each, give one a red filter and one a green filter and call them Steampunk 'Navigation Lights.'

A fairly spectacular haul this weekend's car-booting activities: 60+ mechanical watch movements  1 vintage cigarette case  2 cavalry sabres 1 Robin m1015 meghom insulation tester 1 Moeri pin-set pocket watch assorted chains, amulets and jewelry findings The memsahib says she's going to send me 'booting on my own more often - I seem to do far better then. |

My gorgeous wife Tixia found all the perfume bottles in this video at a flea market in Brighton - as well as the amazing oil lamp (which I bought for her as a wedding anniversary present.) They appear in the 1930s flashback, atop a Singer sewing machine table (which you can't really see very well) that we bought from the king of fleamarkets: ebay!

One fuse holder with fuse still in place, two removed for unknown reason. I will have to clean it up and install it in... something wonderful. Cheers! Chas. |

I was hoping to make it to my private outdoor flea market- that is, the fossil beds behind my house and the ones across the canyon- but I don't think I'm going to make it happen in the next few days! Next window of opportunity- spring break. |
