Harrison fixed his cuffs, and took a moments stare at them. "Ma'am?"
"Speak for me," Alex requested.
"Ask them who they are, and what their situation is. Be sure to strongly imply our cooperation."
"Right." Harrison agreed.

"Should I prepare your arms?" Clint interrupted.
"Of course. Be full of haste."

Harrison pawed the button,
"S.S. Spencer, What is your situation? Are you in need of assistance? What's going on? Over!"
The sound of a flick of leather signaled the end of the transmission. Readily, he awaited transmission.

"Clint, take charge, I'm sure the crew is bewildered. I assume it that you left them with no briefing, and loaded pistols" She said, turning from them.
"As did you", Clint snapped back. He was always irrational under pressure. Reality clicked in, and he said "But Alex, about your arms?!", but she had already left.

Bellono with no powder monkey bringing him fresh ammo he ran out of Gatling rounds, it wasn't long before he had used all his spare mags for his rifle, he was down to his Mauslug and the Americano Costimelli. He popped up firing both pistols one after the other.... It got to the point were the other crew didnt dare stick their heads up for fear of the crazed Italian blowing it off

"Reckless Abandon, assistance couldn't hurt! Taking heavy fire here! Over and out!"

Shreds, suddenly remembering she was on powder monkey duty, ran back to the armoury and started hauling Gatling shells up to the ammo hoppers on Bellono's guns.

Bellono was getting far more sparing with is firing only wen one of the crew on the other ship appeared did he fire. He holstered the mauslug and drew Emilia with his free hand, he was preparing for a boarding action when he saw Shreds appearing weighted down with ammo "SENIORA GRAZI MELLA!!" he ran over to her and relieved her of most of the weight loading the gatlings and restocking his coat

Bellono was begining to wonder where the capitano and Mac were during this exchange of fire. The deck was taking hits, not as many as the other ship but they were shooting back.... once more the gatling tore through the enemy ranks and took chunks off their deck

Enrique uncorked the bottle, careful not to spill the vitriol yet. He leaned over as best he could, and poured it down the opposite side of the crate. He crawled out slowly, his joints stiff and painful from being confined in their so long. Once his head was out, he looked around. 8 rifles were pointed at him. He suddenly wished he knew Icelandic.

"Do you speak English?" he said slowly. The men's faces remained blank. Enrique gulped. This was going to be difficult.

He slowly reached towards his pocket. He pulled out his papers, stamped with the official seal of the King of Spain. The men look at it, then at each other. They grinned maliciosly, and cocked their rifles. Apparently they were pirates.

Clint finally caught up to Alex. She gently requested her arms to be layed out atop the nearby crate, and clint to check that everyone is at their posts.

Hand-crafted by Alex herself, lay the One-Shot Rifle style projectile weapon. A personally casted round designed to stick, and even burrow slides in. It was crafted with the motive of shooting an explosive round deep into vital wood components, hopefully blasting it apart. Unfortunately, like most of Alex's work, it was an incomplete invention, and at best, the black powder and components mixed inside works better as a smoke bomb than it's real intentions.

She also had several hand-designed pistols, each with their minor quirks and kinks she needed to work out, but they'd get the job done with a keen-eye like her own.

Clint put his hand on her shoulder, causing her to jump in suprise.

"What better way to grab attention to your product, than sinking some homeade rounds right infront of a live audience." He smirked.

"How dare you even imply that I would slay these men to sell a few arms." She scowled.

"Hoh, then what is it we are doing here? Why are we charging head on, with the intent to kill?"

"I honestly, do not know. I was entering this, to save some pirates lives, and hopefully leave with a few friends on our side. That's all I wanted." She turned, and sat down on the crate, with her back facing clint.

"You know, Alex. Your crew will not turn around now, we have to see this through. " Clint sighed.

"Relay the message that--"

"No." Clint interrupted.

"Exuse me?" Alex's face grew most serious. It seems Clint has become somewhat of a problem. 'He's the reason we're charging pointlessly into battle', she thought. "Are you going to disobey my orders at a time like this!"

Clint relaxed his face, and fixed his glasses.
"Ma'am. Would you honestly want your crew being shot upon, without even receiving direct order from yourself? Taming your crew to find you most favorable, ought to be difficult when you wont even present yourself infront of them."

"Perhaps you're right." She said. But it no longer mattered. One of the lookouts already was shouting.

"We're going to be passing the reckless abandon, Sir! In a few moments, the navy vessel will be between the Spencer and the Abandon."

She cleared her throat, "Splendid, ready all weapons, and wait to be fired on. Part the Gods with our flags, raise them high!" She said, hosltering her pistols, and going to present herself to the crew.

Harrison sent out the message, "Reckless, we are going to fly past you momentarily. Unidentified enemy will find herself flying between us. We will soon fire our volley. Out."

There was a thick tapping sound of leather.

....With room to maneuver Capitan Haversham was better able to appraise the conditions of the ship she recklessly charged in to help.  Some one was desperately tried to remove a large stopper from a snub nosed cannon.  Red blood was vivid on the green shirt.  She guided ship in to shouting distance of the bleeding person still struggling with the rope.  "I am Capitan Haversham of The Look Out Bellow. If you can get your captain to follow us we can get out of this mess, pick off those British fleas you seamed to have picked up and see about getting you patched up."  Addy tapped a warning for Cordila to start preparing the sick bay in case it was needed.  Vel stared at the woman clicking away on the railing.  An odd offer from someone dressed more for a formal luncheon than fighting a battle but the weaponry seemed enough to back up her offer of help.

about thirty minutes had passed since they had lost the last ship chasing them... she made sure the Orfiel followed the Look Out Bellow at a steady pace, not only to watch out for her own ships safety and to keep a watch on Cptn. Haversham and her ship... but because the boilers were still running, as they do as they're cooling down....

'one false misfire and her entire ship....NO i mustn't think like that....' she sighed, and shook her head.. at least her arm stopped bleeding, but it left a mess on her sleeve....
she steadied the ship, and sped up to align herself with the  Look Out Bellow.....after handing the helm over, she made her way to the starboard railing...
she made sure there were no more ships around before signaling for the captain.

"My dear Captain Haversham....My curiosity compels me..... may I ask why you are so eager to help us?  and where, also do we plan to land?
"...not only that, ....and...i do not accuse you of anything, but my crew has been talking to themselves that you are going to sell us off...."

she luaghed a little

"hell... i wouldnt blame you.. if you knew me, I'D sell me off."

Addy smiled. "Yes, Sorry I should have addressed that earlier.  We should make it to Nate's place just off of Corsica in about twenty minutes. They were Pirate friendly last time I checked  but these days you hardly know, things seem to change by the hour.  As to why I wanted to help you, well any ship that has managed to run a fowl of the First Fleet is enough reason to help for me. My enemy's enemy is my friend has I believe the saying goes, besides I never have been able to stand a bully."

A six foot tall lobster the color of glowing copper dresses in a frilly white apron appeared on deck clicking it's claws in a manner that almost sounded concerned. Addy clicked right back looking rather amused.  The lobster looked over at Captain Vel with something that could have been worry and went back inside the ship.

"That was my physician Cordila she was rather annoyed I didn't demand you come over here so she could get a look at you.  Very good at her job but a bit of a   mother hen so to speak.  I must admit I do have some alterer motives in seeking you out but none involving harming you or your crew I promice. I was trying to reach Paris and find some help for a rather sticky problem but it seams that is not an option anymore.  So perhaps you can point me in the right direction of someone willing to help in a jail brake."

Vel learned over the railing to get a better look at the nurse/doctor...she smiled a bit.

"dont worry, when we land she's more than welcome to give me a full head to toe check up if it pleases.... most of the time i'm left to my own devices when we're out sailing....it's worked so far - i'm still alive" she gave a smile but felt a pang of regret in that last line.

"Tell me of the liberation of your comrade, I will help you out with whatever you need, being as, you helped me in a fix i shall do the same.....whats this abou-"

she stopped and she could feel the color leave her face "you said CORSICA, right?"

she put a hand to her eyes and leaned on the railing

she picked her head back up... "....i should probably tell you this now rather than at the last minute, the entire italian air force believes me dead, and i prefer to keep it that way.  so while in corsica no matter how pirate friendly your friends place they may be.... if ONE even whispers that i'm alive we will have more trouble following us than JUST the first fleet....."

she sighed, and hopped on the railing to sit outside the boat.... her boots hit the side of the boat aimlessly.... as she thought aloud

"chances of putting a green crew in danger of their lives, me being on the run again, my life on the line, living in the dark again.....

...sounds like fun!"

Bellono looked at Emilia his sword for a long time something brought his mind back 7 years to the day the Italian 3rd air fleet had been wiped out to a man... him. The northern part of the country as well as a good bit of the south as far as Rome had been taken by the English Crown that day. He had fought many battles for many people since that day and was now trying to seek revenge for his humiliation and countrymen! He looked at his blade and wondered if the Abandon would ever pass his home, and if it did would he want to see what had become of it?? He turned Emilia over in his hands and thought maybe the southern parts were still Italian maybe there was some place similar to his home left somewere in the world! "No time for nostalgia!" he told himself angrily just then a man in a uniform hopped over the deck wall. Bellono gutted him nearly severing him in two. "NOW BACK TO WHAT I DO BEST VIENE QUI BASTARDO'S!!!!"

Addy thought for a moment then smiled.  "You know I have always been fond of the name Coraline why don't you barrow it for a while.  Don't worry about my crew saying any thing either. At last count there were only six other people that could fully understand them and only four of those six were capable of holding a conversation.  So I think our odds are quite good at keeping your secret." She laughed a little, Val's offer of aid had taken a weight from her shoulders.

"It is my father I am trying to liberate. He made some business deals with people who turned out to be pirates and that got him arrested.  They tried to seize my ship but we escaped. I have been trying to free him but now his health is failing and if I don't find a way to get him out soon he is going to die."  Loosing her mother had been hard but loosing her father when she could have saved him would brake her.

She spotted a tower of rusty metal and ship parts coming up on the port side.  "That is Nate's place.  He salvages things from all over and he has built his own tiny kingdom with no ties to any country.  I think we should be safe there for the time being." She clicked out a message to her scout who stared to signal the port that they were coming.

A burly man tried to grab Shreds, looking amused at the small slight girl's fierce expression and large gun. The impact of the Mauslug's payload in his stomach was somewhat less amusing.

Shreds grimaced, ducked behind a capstan and began to reload.

Bellono was impressed between the two of them shreds and himself were keeping the enemy crew from getting below decks but there was a good weeks worth of swobbing the decks to get them clean again now. Chiaves Bellono laughed and holstered his mauslug and sheathed Emilia... He pulled his custom assault rifle which he had named the Belgun out and opened up its 7.93mm payload of pain into whoever was visible and not a member of the Reckless Abandons crew

"coraline..." vel thought out loud while staring at the docks below. "it'll about do it.... i have some wench's clothes stored below somewhere......i guess you shall be my captain on this land, eh?" she gave a laugh before laying flat on the railing.

"can i hide the orfiel at Nate's while the crew fixes and improves her......" she stared up at the dark sails and the slight shimmer that the setting sun gave to them ".....and my cabin as well.....i absolutely have nowhere to sit"

she motioned for the crew to ready for landing.

"i cant help but notice you dont talk to any of your crew, madam...how long did it take to learn that morse code, probably a little longer than learning motions and signals...in times of fighting the ship gets deadly silent....i would fear you as my enemy......" she sat back up straight to look at Addy

"must have been terrible for authorities to have lost you. before we dock, i dont care what ye've done, or why......... are they still after you now."

"Nate should be able to help with repairs.  He is an odd duck but he prides himself on havening the most complete collection of airship parts in the world.  He owes me for a smuggling run and it is about time he paid me back."

Addy had forgotten how strange her actions must seem to an outsider. "Actuality I don't talk in general most of the time.  My mother was a very busy woman so Cordila raised me like I was her own child.  I didn't start speaking until I was almost seven years old.  I still have trouble with words sometimes. Tapping is easy, learning English was hard. I can speak to my crew in fact they understand many more languages than I do but clicking is the most effective.  All the rails on the ship are connected to a central amplifying system so no matter where I am I can be heard.  I can teach you a few useful phrases if you would like."  Hangers were visible in the space between the building covered deck and the sea.  Red lanterns hung by the openings told which ones were waiting for them to dock.  Addy wondered if Nate himself was around or if he had gone off on another adventure.  Either way she would find out soon.  The waves were small and calm Addy was glad docking here was down right frightening at times.

"I think they will be after me as long as I breathe.  They want my ship, my crew and all the secrets locked away in my head.  I refuse to be anyones lap dog." She looked out past the horizon caught up in memories as the two ships parted to dock.

There was a strange calm across the deck... There was nothing but the bodies, the smock of the cartridges, the blood, the smell of crap and urine excreted in the moment of death.... Bellono stood in the middle of all the destruction and sighed "Its all clear Seniora everything that poses a threat isnt breathing!!!" Bellono called out to shreads and he took a deep breath and started to pull the stray bullets out of his coats chain mail and leather armor lining.

Shreds popped her head up over a battered looking railing. Her face was bloodless and grey, made even more horribly clear by splashes and spatters of blood on her skin, and her panicky, shallow breathing was audible even at the other side of the deck.

Aaaahh... ow... something's wrong...my arm...

Without a word, she collapsed on the deck.

"Shreds? Shreds!?"
Burnside dashed across the deck, after setting the lock on the wheel. He vaulted over bodies, and ducked flying bullets. He reached the poor girl, who was lying bleeding on the decking. He tore the sleeve from his shirt, and tied it around her arm in a makeshift tourniquet.
"Medic!" he bellowed. "We need a medic over here!"
