They'd probably work better that way, seeing as a natural crystal probably doesn't make a good lens on a flashlight.

I'm in the middle of making my new gun. currently waiting on a pressure gauge to get to me and a nice vacuum tube :)however when i opened up my first gun it fell to pieces in my hands....so now i am going to NOT remove the screws holding the little motor together in side. i am instead going to take precautions to keep the paint from touching it and leaving it intact. egads i had no idea it would all fall to pieces if i opened it up! damned cheap toy makers!

Very well. Then it is advised not too dismantle it at all, and just stick to paint.

yeah what I'm going to to is take the face off and block up the vents so no paint get in the gun, then painting and put the face back on Smiley i think spray paint would be bad for the little bits in side. and my god does the lubricant inside this gun stink! spells like lard that has gone bad! and it sticks to every thing!

PS thats SMELLS! egads... i am a bad typist!

My new flamethrower (en route) will pop your bubbles for sure. I'll put up some pics next week after it arrives and I have a chance to steam it up a bit,
I'm also not sure as to the legality of carrying around a blowtorch that looks like a gun, but I suppose I'll find out through the old trial and error. (Just try and stop me, will they. If my villainous attire doesn't scare em off, by massive 8" of flame will but the fear of steampunks in their hearts.) I hope,

aye, tis merely a wee blow-torch vaguely shaped like a pistol. Less than vaguely when I'm done with it...the Abraxian Pyrophoric Conflagrator! aka Destroyer of Bubbles and the Terror of Barbies!

edit: haha, I DO wear a bowler. A collapsible one. At least, I've crushed it enough times that it's become quite collapsible

egads! bubbles blowers will never be safe again! actually the idea for the picture came about because i seem to be incapable of looking fierce(in my defense i have freckles and am only five feet tall... but am i going to do kick your shins!?) so in the picture I'm looking all mean and then i pull the trigger and only bubbles come out... and i stand there looking confused Tongue

A friend brought me his copy of Mal's gun & asked me to make something in this family, so here's what I came up with...

I'm new to the board and I really like your version of Mal's gun. What did you make your version out of? Was it one of the resin kits?

Thanks,
