Looks absolutely splendid - and tongue in cheek methinks. Was that Udo Kier in the clip? And a cool (sorry) soundtrack by Slovenian industrial combo Laibach - F.I.A.T from their excellent album Opus Dei. The whole thing sounds like Nazi songbook, but the boys from Ljubljana have a different, more subversive and satirical agenda - so I suspect Iron Sky may well have a similar "feel". As an aside, Laibach's bonkers cover of Queen's One Vision on the same album - Geburt Einer Nation (Birth of a Nation) has to be heard to be believed. All good fun!
This one?

Yup, that's it - thank you, sir! I'd not seen that video before - the singer (Milan Fras, I think) has more than a passing resemblance to Freddie Mercury, and probably about as camp. We did see the band once, in the early-ish Eighties, as the backing band to a show by Michael Clark the ballet dancer. Superb show (included Leigh Bowery so we are talking a while back!) - and I've never heard anything so loud. You could feel the bass in your chest!

Damn. I'm never going to be able to write anything ever again, for fear of falling short of that benchmark. They have truly set the bar very high.

Tidied as many Iron Sky threads into one giant, all encompassing, jackbooted, thread.

I had heard the movie was tongue-in-cheek, a dramatic comedy. Looking forward to seeing it. Foo fighters and space zeppelins FTW!
Along similar lines, I saw a fun video game preview, of a game that's coming out on Steam called "Dino D-Day." The premise: Jurassic Park in WWII. Hitler clones dinosaurs to use in his war machine, and the government calls in a Dr. Grant-like paleontologist to help deal with them. Looks fun.
Even World of Warcraft has some Nazi-Dinosaur-Raygun-Shark references in their expansion. And I'm very much looking forward to this movie! It feels so wrong, but in a guilty pleasure kind of way...

And now on the BBC News website. So it must be real. Released 4th April to a cinema near you. Brangelina have seen it, so that puts a splendid seal of approval on it. Although some Brit crits have apprently been a bit sniffy. So all I can say is "Gegen, Raumnazis!"

Well I'm glad to see that it's inspired new interest in the (supposed) actual Nazi UFO plans. It'll be a blast to see articles about the ancient Vimanas, the German Haunebu and "The Bell", Maria Orsic, the Vril society etc in the National papers. Make no mistake I am in no way a supporter of Nazi philosophy, but still this stuff has fascinated me for decades.

Was that Udo Kier in the clip? Certainly was! I would crawl over broken glass to see Udo in a film. Love him to bits! Met him about four or five years back..lovely man.

No wonder you look so happy in that photo! I've heard today, all four performances of the movie at the Berlinale have sold out in record time and the queues were hundreds of metres long...

This looks like it will be an entertaining movie. Udo Kier is always a sure sign of something campy. Hopefully it is not as campy as that terrible flick from the 90's Mars Attacks. I'll probably end up going to the theater for this.

Oh I'm expecting a healthy dose of high camp personally. It may not quite reach "Carry On Commendant" proportions, but there's definitely a tongue stuck firmly in a cheek somewhere. Certainly one to see on the big screen though.

A bunch of us locally are going to the cinema in suitably pirate attire for the Aardman movie (Steampunk may not be a big noise round here yet, but they sure do love their pirates) although um....no lepers of course. It could be amusing to do a similar tongue in cheek thing for this. I'm not sure my bravery would run to German uniforms personally, but I certainly have a Herr Flick style hat n coat. I wish my daleks were as big as this. But yeah, could potentially be some Steamy/Diesely fun to be had methinks.

but I certainly have a Herr Flick style hat n coat I too have a full length leather trench coat and a black fedora. I also wore rimless glasses and used to have bleached blond hair. After having my hip dislocated I walked with a cane and a limp for several months. I got SO sick of people making Herr Flick references. When Men In Black was first released about 15 of my pals from the London Vampyre Group turned up at the cinema all in the black suit and tie/shades look. Cue huge photocall outside the cinema against the film poster. Sadly I coudn't join them as I was in hospital...with a dislocated hip... A large group of us also bowled up the the cinema 'vamped up' to the nines (complete with fangs, frills and frockcoats) when we all went to see 'Interview With The Vampire'..cue another huge photo shoot outside the cinema. However..not sure turning up en masse to Iron Sky in anything that could be interpreted as 'Nazi-ish' would be a good idea.
