Saw the remake of Total Recall last night.  It is very good.  Not a duplicate or a sequel, but more a reinterpretation of the original with Arnold. The CGI is amazing.

I wonder if it's closer to the original short story than the last one was.

I'd love to see them do a version of "The Man Who Japed" with Jon Stewart in the lead role.

Who would do justice to "Flow My Tears..." though?

The new film is even more removed from the original story.

I'd always thought of the hero of Japed to be more of an everyman type, but it would make an excellent film. Though Clans of the Alphane Moon is the PKD book I would most like to see on film, but that's extremely unlikely.

I liked this version. The original is probably better, but this one certainly didn't insult its memory. It was fun catching all the things taken from the original. And Kate Beckinsale? Holy wow, she looked amazing in this, probably the best she ever has.

A Movie based on the original story would be interesting, though I found the ideas of the source interesting more than the story which I found...kinda boring.

I rewatched the Arnold Total Recall after seeing the remake in theaters, and honestly - while I love the cheesy original - the remake was actually a much better film
