It was a glorious event indeed. I admit I had questions in the back of my mind regarding the venue (I mean, it IS arkansas), but it could hardly have been more perfect. Everything was handled beautifully and everyone was so darn frendly..... no pretentiousness, just everyone having a Dash-It-All-Fine-Time.

I am truly sorry for those whose plans fell through. Hopefully the success of Ravenwood will lead to more steamy midwestern events.

It was regrettable but I was unable to attend.

Were there any pictures taken? I am curious as to what I missed.

Stella, you were the lady in the green and black dress?  Your dress was lovely!  I wish I had gotten a photo of you.

I had a great time, and I do hope this inspires more steamy events in our area.  Even just casual ones.  And I'm sorry you couldn't make it, Ms. Boo.  I was looking forward to meeting you.  Maybe next year.

I got a few pictures; they're mostly of Abney Park though.  If people want, I can post them as soon as I get them off my camera.

P.S.  I'm delurking just to post here.  That's why you haven't seen me before.  Grin I was the short girl in double corsets.

I vote we start a thread specifically for the posting of pictures and such of this fine event. I too have many photos to post, btw, I was the workman in the corduroy pants leather suspenders and tool belt.

ClockworkJester yup that was me.  The bustle was fun to dance with and I am sorry if I hit any one with it, it seemed to have a mind of it's own.  Luckily someone else that was with us thought to take pictures.  I will ask her if she would mind me posting some here.

Ms Boo,

A good friend and former boss (a raging and almost-uncontrollable diabetic) had both his retinas reattached by laser surgery about 8 years ago. He was absolutely-terrified by the procedure, because his own father had lost all sight in 1 eye because of the older arc-lamp-procedure.

When he returned to work, (he had scheduled 2 whole days off) his comment was "if they didnt have to move you around in the chair to line things up, they could do it at a drive-thru".

Please ask your sister to do some research. I have no great faith in modern medicine, but this one seems like a good cost/benefit wager.

im thinking she is going to have it done soon. her doctor is now telling her if she does not by the time she is 40 she will be totally blind. i think currently she is waiting for her insurance to decide if they will pay for it or not. im hoping they will. my sister loves to sew and she has had to give it up as of late due to this problem.
