OK so who all still needs a ride to the ravenwood festival?
also i am considering stopping to have some dinner the night before the main fest,since apparently the bar doesn't serve food and god knows i don't want to hit the floor half way through the night! so would anyone bee interested in getting together for a bite before the party on the 12? Might be nice to meet and greet perhaps? or am i way off base here?

The wife and I wouldn't mind. We are from the other side of the state and have no idea about the city. So we would love to meet up with others and get to know each other while we masticate.
Also: what time will the festivities begin on the 11th. We are planning on driving over that morning but if things will be starting early we can adjust our plans and come the day before. Also if anyone along the way from Jonesboro to Fayetville needs a ride I could be convinced to pick them up.

so DJ Imfamouse has gotten back to me and he says Hugos is a fine location its just down the street from the festivals location and they apparently play big band music all day i've looked into reviews and all of them are good. apparently they have some thing called a "Blue Moon Burger" that is to die for. so anyone car to join me? say 7:30 at Hugos? 25 N Block Ave Fayetteville, AR 72701. I may try to make it to hugos, it would be nice to put some names to some faces before hand I'll be driving down from TN, somewhere between the 10th and 11th (depending on the car I rent) oh, and I'll be there with wares, and if it's done in time, I'll unveil my new interactive design board (but *shh* it's secret!) ...I really need to post more in this forum... yup looks like it. there will be a others joining who dont belong to the forum. its been a rough road for my husband and i (lost jobs cars stolen etc) but my self my husband and stella gaslight will be there! might be a tad low on cash but hey atleast the company will be good!
to recap Hugo's at 7pm on the 12 .

Well my ride to Joplin has evaporated on me so I am forced to find some other way to get there. Right now it looks like I might be able to barrow a car and driver and go down late Thursday night spend the night in Joplin and meet up with ms_boo_dreadful and go from there but everything is still up in the air. This is such an exercise in frustration it is driving me up the wall. Is anyone going for both nights out of Saint Louis or anywhere closer to Columbia I could catch a ride with?

not sure, i was thinking across the middle of tn or across the bottom
the only difference is that one is a hour longer, but is 50 miles shorter..doesn't make much sense, but it's what mapquest says!
though, at this point, i may not make it (which sucks as i've already sent my $ on in), my car decided it wanted more new parts, and right now, nothing super bad, but bad enough, it shouldnt go on a road trip further than like, 20 miles, and since i was relying on driving my car, not renting, i can't do new parts and ravenwood, but if i had a person or two contributing to gas/car rental, it wouldnt be a problem
if anyone in the east TN area is interested in carpooling (or heck, through part of TN, and wants to be picked up on the way) let me know!! I should be renting the car and leaving thursday or friday afternoon if i think i can make it (aka, if i can afford it)
depending on if and where anyone who wants to go is, i'll alter the route (friday/thursday) to them!
ill be posting my invite for other carpoolerss across a few other boards/sites, unless I can get some poolers or i have some miraculous sales beforehand, i dont know if i'll be able to make it.. seems like i wont be able to make it, the cost of things to be fixed is way out weighing ravenwood.. |

Things are looking up. I will have to leave Thursday at 8pm and rent a hotel room in joplin but I should be able to meet up with ms_boo_dreadful the next day and go from there.

Well, Ravenwood is over for this year. I just arrived home after a grueling 6 hour drive. Sorry about not meeting at Hugo's but when we got there we could see no sign of any of our ilk at all and we turned around and went over to georges and started hanging out with the Ravenwood models and the orginizers and all.
