Anyone know where I could find a good smoking jacket?

Does anyone here by chance know of an emporium by way of which I may accquire a decent smoking jacket or cap?

What sort of size? I ran across a smoking jacket-esque piece of clothing in a charity shop, purchased it all in a frenzy of joy, and then after tryign to wear it properly found my shoulders are too broad for it. If it were just my gut too large I may hang onto it and wait my long prayed for miraculous overnight weight loss, but as it is the shoulders I am pretty much stuffed, unless an arm drops off I suppose. So I suppose I might let it go if it would fit someone, rather than sit in a forlorn pile in the bottom of my wardrobe. PM me is your interested and I'll sort out a photo session so you can see what its like. I also have a pattern for smoking hats which could I suppose be scanned.

If you know a seamstress, or other skilled with a sewing machine, you could have one made in your choice of colors. Almost any, and don't scoff to much at this, bathrobe pattern can be easily tailored into a smoking jacket. This is on my short list of things to produce.

The idea of having one made by someone is probably your best bet. Heavy embroidered silk or poly that looks like silk are easy enough to find. Most fabric stores carry some in oriental prints. Either a robe pattern with a shawl collar could be adapted or a shawl collar tux pattern. I have a smoking jacket I picked up at a thrift store years ago. It was made in Hong Kong for the original owner and is more of the tux jacket cut.
