Fellow Bretheren of the Coasts and Clouds;

It appears as thought the Imperialists are massing on the RPG board. This sea dog is too used to the waves and the wind to start flitting about the aether, but the with the deck of the Dusk Treader under my boots I shall fight on the sea as you fight in the air. Who's ready to take it to them?

Well then Captain, if you have an account I shall be happy to make my mark. I've not been in combat before (dressmakers premises being somewhat more genteel than these ships) but I can learn anything you care to show me.

In addition, I have an unrivalled hand for both fine and sturdy sewing. I can work with any material from gossamer to stiff leather, and can make netting beyond compare.

I don't know...I've been in some fairly rough tailors' establishments. I could tell you some tales. Regardless, happy to have you. Report to the Master-At-Arms for regular weapons training, and you'll be right as rain.

I should be glad to oblige, Captain.

Luella, we're still operating under our prototype designation of ZEP-01, I have a difficult time imagining we have our own flag... And to clear up the letter of marque we carry, well... One mans Privateer is another mans Pirate. I don't think the Queensmen will be making the destinction, why should we? *Spits*

Ah, you do bring up an excellent point, my friend. He did have a new name he was considering though. meh. I still want to draw Ol' Zeppy. once we get stuff concrete I'd love to whip up a flag in Illustrator.
yet another good point about the letter of marque. This is why I ask questions, because sometimes I don't think. XD

Well, after serving as a cartographer and printer aboard the RAS Deseret for many years, I would be glad to offer my services against the Impish Imperials to anyone who can spare the lift space for my equipment. The press is not too bad, having been built of aluminum for dirigible use, but the lead type trays are both massive and quite heavy.
However, I can promise up to date charts, and will gladly print false documents. and propaganda sheets?

Any takers?

Interesting. You'll ultimately have to get clearance from our Captain, the voracious Vermillion, but I do believe you will fit well with Orfiel, as we sometimes like to execute less direct tactics. It's always worth it for the looks on their faces when they find their cities have been taken over by mobs.

Apologies mate!.. I was out doing some personal investigations.......I only go because I know I leave my ship in good hands.

a printer....hmmm..
well master Luc Du Rette...
i know not what need a printer would do for us as crew only... I dont know if all of your equipment would fit in the ship as well...it very well may... BUT.

=thinks to herself= a mapmaker could prove useful, a mapmaker that makes the wrong maps is even better.......

you could possibly be more help on the ground...you would be more help to all of our cause, rather than serving on one ship.
....on the ground you can do more damage with propaganda as well.....

YARRRR!! I'll drink to that!

Ah there she is. I appreciate the confidence Capt'n. Also, I knew I joined the right ship--your mind is a sharp as your sword. Anyway Luc Du Rette, it sounds like you should come back when you learn a skill pertinent to life in the skies. Or, if you're eager enough I can bring you in as a gunner-in-training? If it's alright with the lady of course.

While I certainly see your point, and actually relish the notion of supplying differing charts and propaganda as needed, I must point out that personal aerial investigation from time to time may be necessary for accurate charting. My cartographic materials would constitute much less of a burden, however, and these trips would only be necessary upon the need of a new chart beyond the reach of the ones I already possess. I am however intrigued by the notion of being a supplier to an entire Union of ...um... privateers. That is a position of truly magnificent possibilty, and a very intriguing prospect!
And the placement of the "propaganda engine", as it were, is indeed of less consequence than the placement of it's final product.

The plan is to tweak and adjust the Lorien Trust LARPing rules, but if you linke me to the rules you mentioned or to where I can be lead to them I will peruse them.

errr....British Bulldog was a game we used to play in primary school, it got banned in alot of places on account of it involves lining up and running full pelt at each other trying to wipe as many people out as possible, all those who got wiped became "bulldogs" then the fun happened again.

guess what happens when you get aload of psychotic children running at each other.

and guess what all the sixth form males played yesterday  Cheesy

Just bought the Castle Falkenstein rulebook extension ""Wunderwerke" (Works of Wonder) today and ther is a bunch of pretty beautiful pictures of steam-driven Fantasy in there. Just to give you an example -which I though would fit exactly into the topic- is the "Albatros" captained by a notorious villain who can be considered an Air-Pirate. (In fact with this extension "Air Pirate" became a playable character class in Falkenstein)
Hope you like it:

Unfortunately I think it is not allowed to scan all the pictures in the book for it would violate copyrights (but we are pirates aren't we?)

regards

Toji

If you join the First Fleet now, not only is your survival 90% certain, but you'll be paid an amount of money equal to the number of days served multiplied by 30
That's right, 30 Sterling per day for as long as the conflict lasts if you join the First Fleet.

The only catch is: there are only 10 places to be occupied, so you may be called upon to act...decisively in order to secure and defend your place.

That image strongly reminds me of a picture I saw in a Jules Verne book; I can't remember its name in Finnish and much less in English, but it had a Nemo-type captain flying just such a vessel and one of the original illustrations was almost exactly like that.

...wait, which ship are you with again? We need a better system here so I can see who's with who and all that. Even just a quick "Deck hand on the Rad Ship of Awesomeness" is fine. I put my post under my avatar, following my Captain's example. It's shiny.
