Well unless something comes up between now and then you can put me down... have no idea if I'll be SteamPunk or not by then but I'll be looking forward to it.

I plan to ring the ticket office in the next few days to see if we should make a group booking for the 30th September, and to let them know that there will be several well dressed steampunkers attending the exhibition and the Burton bar that evening.

ACMI may make it a steampunk themed night for us if we ask nicely!

As a big fan of lolita AND steampunk, I too would like to see!
My EGA isn't as flash, but it'll be something

Also! Tim Burton sounds kinda cool, I haven't been yet, this could be a good chance.
Count me in.

Let us know how that turns out! If they look like they may do a SteamPunk night for us then I'll put in the extra effort to try and get an outfit in time for that.

Hmmm. I was hoping to get down around the end of August, but I shall definitely try for this event.

Maybe both if you're unlucky!

As long as work doesn't call me in for 30th Sep (I work 12 hour shifts. I'm not rostered for that day but I am oncall for it), I should be there. My outfit style won't be conventional GL, I'd call it "a three way collision between EGL, western goth and steampunk".

I'm thinking I might go "in persona", but haven't decided which way to play that. Either "A fault with the electric crumpet butterer in my time machine has stranded me here, and the only spare clothes that were available belong to my partner", or "my time machine ran into an aetheric flux storm (caused by said electric crumpet butterer) which has stranded me here, but why are you all dressed to strangely? A proper gentlemen would never be seen in public without a nice skirt, Queen Veronica (who posseses one of the finest moustaches among all the European royal families) would not be amused at all."

Oh well, whatever I decide on, a faulty electric crumpet butterer in the time machine will be the cause of my woes.

I shall! But I don't know what to wear yet - last year it was freezing. Also in attendance will be the lovely Miss Iris.
Re gigantic weapons, you may recall that the Manifest crew are kind of touchy about that and just about everything.

Should we arrange a day to all turn up in our finery for MAXIMUM impact?

I'm not 100% sure what day Iris and I will be attending, but it's likely Saturday. She should get back to me on that soon. But yeah, would be awesome to coordinate. I'm imagining synching pocket watches.
Now I'm definitely not sure what to wear if we're aiming for finery  Embarrassed I'm picking up a new dress this week, but I was saving that for the Tim Burton exhibition. I guess I'll still have to wait and see what the weather's going to be like for Manifest.

By finery I of course meant just whatever you have lying about the place, obviously.... >.> Such as assorted piece of leather armour and the like.

I think I found something suitably outlandish to wear in my second wardrobe  Cheesy
And assorted pieces of leather armour belong in the assorted pieces of leather armour drawer, not just lying about  Tongue

The fact you have a second wardrobe both surprises me and makes sense XD

I'm fairly certain that at this stage my bed counts as an assorted pieces of leather armour storage device.

Ahem,

For those who have a love of beautiful old equipment...

http://www.cbraggauctions.com/

There are several amazing typewriters, portable gramaphones and other incredible pieces in the catalogue for this auction on this coming Sunday.

Sadly - I need to save my euro for Paris, otherwise I would be attending and splurging.
