nope, its true, the centrifugal force removes the blockage.
the cat doesn't necessarily enjoy it mind... just stops it dying.

Well, i do hope my cat Snowball is never in need of my swinging assistance. He's a fat little thing. I'd be afraid of swinging him around because all that flying around in the air would be hazardous to everyone...and my other cat, Sassy, is scared to death of everything. So scared, in fact, that she has a heart murmur. If i were to swing her around, i fear she would panic and die because her little kitty heart couldn't take it all...

The lesson here? Don't let your cats choke.

or if you do have to swing your cat, ensure you have enough room!

Oh yes, that's definately something to be mindful of. It would be bad if you had to tell everyone your cat died because you were swinging it around and it hit its head on something...even if you were trying to save it from choking...

ugh the more i think about it the harder it is to imagine swinging a cat. I'd be afraid it's tail would break off or it would fly out of my grip. Oooh, speaking of swinging cats, has anyone ever seen that video of the cat that jumped up to attack a string that was hanging off a moving fan blade? It's hilarious. Here is the link:
I strongly suggest everyone watch it...

actually its how you stop them from choking.
hence "to swing a cat"
Actually, that's a naval term, from the cat o' ninetails. That's also the root of "to take the cat out of the bag"

the ninetails reference makes more sense to me. there's just something wrong with swinging an actual cat around...

It may be. It could also be a pet carrier box. Thus we'd all be getting radiation. maybe.
