Cha, right... I'm guessing that musket comment was not aimed at me. I'd hate to think that I might have to utter the words "get 'im lads" before someone else can say "ohh that looks like it might smart"..

Not at all Sir. I am sure such a learned gentleman would not be so vulgar , crass & not to mention downright foolish to threaten any Lady with a musket in public, a gentleman would not do that now Sir would they ?? Why anyone who did so would be sure to face the righteous wrath of any true hearted & chivalrous man nearby, ain't that right sir ?? A possibility of a crewman you say sir, thats nice. I hope that this "misunderstanding" so to speak has been put to rest Sir. I don't like misunderstandings, they seem to end up with one or more parties getting "injured". Good day Sir, I trust to see you hale & hearty in China on the 28th

Now then Gentlemen, I hope we can continue this friendly conversation with a bit less talk of musket/'arris co-location and a bit more talk of port.
I shall be bringing a bottle or two of my favourite, do the Orientals like port?

I assure you Mr Pitt, to do such a thing would be highly unwise, and very un gentlemanly.

Well, I have to say that I'm not entirely sure what all of that was about but (again) a clarification would be rather nice. I'm not entirely sure what would merit such ire in my direction but I'm willing to see past it if indeed we're all getting in a lather over nothing. I would like to think we are. (Am I being confused for some other petite Lady that wields a musket?)
Thank you, Sgt. Bellows. I think I too shall bring port - for those that are well behaved anyway.
For those of the shipping crew that are not, you'll be lucky to get port. Mr Pitt, behave... there is no need for such uncouth behaviour in public. That gutter language does not belong here.

Phew.. thanks! I thought it was. Don't take me too seriously in here. Tis all OOC of course... just I think people like to get into their mindsets for relief... On the other hand... Port and a party... woo!

Naturally. And trust me, my comment to Jon was entirely OOC, for IC reasons, from an entirely different system... phew.

Eh ?? Excuse me Sirrah, but have you been time travelling & got a spot of Time-lag, the bunfight ain't till 28th June But assuming you were referring to the Evening of Science & Mystery 1; it was a cracking event involving ghosts, a mountain lab, a thunderstorm, a jury-rigged lightening gun, a bold fellow being projected through a roof with a lightening rod, some damn fine shooting from a certain grizzled Royal Engineer and a happy ending. I commend the event on the 28th June to you.

Well, that's what happens when you get a bunch of trigger-happy toffs, isn't it? It's all part of the game to them, like shooting each other by mistake on fox-hunts.
And if anyone doesn't know the difference between port and porter, I suggest they are not a proper loyal subject of her majesty and are most likely Foreign.
