While not quite steampunk, I'm sure many of you enjoy alternate history fiction like I do. This is a hilarious short story that takes the form of a "forum thread from the future" in a time travelers forum. http://www.abyssandapex.com/200710-wikihistory.htmlExcerpt: International Association of Time Travelers: Members' Forum Subforum: Europe – Twentieth Century – Second World War Page 263

Luella I stayed up far to late wandering around that page. I found it back when Cowboy Bebop first aired and then lost it during one of my computers temper tantrums and forgot all about it. It feels odd to find pages from my early fandom days still kicking.

yeah, that page has been up for ages. it used to be one of those pages I'd check regularly. BBT is an amazing artist and I love reading Agent Orange's fanfictions. Hers are the only ones I like and I sometimes confuse them with actual parts to the series! XD I love finding old websites that I used to frequent...I can really only think of three, two of which are down. Also, ever come across the websites that haven't been updated in like, 10 years? the format is hilarious!

I was hopelessly addicted to her for a while I had nothing but BBT wallpapers on my computer for at least half a year and I still think she made one of the funniest amvs I have ever watched.
Worse than finding the old web pages I have reread some of the fan fiction I thought was so good when I was younger and I just cringe at my lack of taste. Why on earth did I think some of that was good? Not to mention my own failed fan epics. Thank goodness most of it has been lost to the sands of time.

Didn't they already make a live action dragonball z movie? I totally remember seeing clips from it back when the planet namek was still in existence. I will admit I was a DBZ fangirl ages ago and then my tastes improved or at least I like to think they did.

Yeah they did, and they're making a new one as well. Who's betting on the movie being 15 hours long with people grunting and fighting for 3/4s of it?

Since nobody spoke up about returning asianavenger to existence, it's sort of too bad Hong Xiuquan really existed (some very interesting reading about him on wikipedia, it turns out). Consistency and all...

If the rules pertaining to killing Hitler weren't enforced, he'd be followed around by a mob! Not a mob of people wanting to kill him, but a mob of people fighting the others so that THEY could kill him.

I'm sure it will be hilarious. What's the odds of "over nine thousaaaaaaand" appearing in it? I think we threadjacked this thread. Hmm. Back to the thread..I've seen some threads in various forums where people talk in a proper fashion. i do belive that this should happen more often. What do you say, old chaps?

If they work in the "over nine thousaaaaand" line that alone will be worth it. And you guys have it all wrong, it would be 1/4 fighting and 3/4 useless filler like the series. I swear to god I just would sit there fast forwarding through half the episode most of the time to get to the good stuff. And I just assisted in the thread-jacking of my own thread...I should be sacked (cue Monty Python-esque intro music).

As this didn't happen, I can only make two suggestions: There's a really good "time agent"-type group who tidy up the loose ends or By the time that temporal excursions become feasible, Hitler is an obscure minor dictator of several hundred years before. Nobody can be bothered to go after him as they're too busy warning their self of a few hours earlier that they're about to have a crash/blow it with a possible mate/burn their lunch.

Noob...that's the whole point of the observational bylaws, and don't you EVEN think of trying to buy out on gold while it's 'cheap'. G0ldF1nger337 tried that stunt a few years back. Think he's still getting bounced around in legal.
now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go have lunch with Einstein.
