No sadly, one office for the clinical stuff, teaching and admin - but it is MINE (Ha Ha)

But we do have a seperate "proceedures" room for minor operations! (with wipe clean walls and floor!)

I felt the need for a cup of hot tea, so I grabbed the only clean glass I had, and a packet of Twinings Irish Breakfast. The result earned me a few strange looks, but it is worth it.

Two large mugs of black with milk in the morning - often left in the pot overnight and re-heated in the microwave. Then ocha (no milk of course) through the day with sometimes genmaicha. At night, another couple of mugs of black and milk to relax. For sitting and sipping nothing beats Earl Grey and of course for those rough days, Lapsang Soochong, though my wife hates it in the house because it smells like fish. And on the nights I'm cooking Japanese for dinner, sencha.

I think my arteries are well tanned by now.

For dipping - nothing in the world beats home made ginger snaps......

I have try-ed four or more brands and all tasted like over steeped gunk! 
is it just time to give up and make a big pot of hot cocoa?

Try your favourite black tea, a few cloves, half a cinnamon quill or thereabouts, and perhaps a little orange peel, and maybe a few peppercorns.

I was brought up on Lapsang Souchong (with milk, I'm afraid - my mother brazens it out by claiming it as eccentricity, rather than simply being declasse) and still drink it all the time. I also drink Earl and Lady Grey, Russian Caravan, and we blend Earl Grey and Vanilla for an afternoon drink with a difference. Because of my childhood tea-habits, I've never much liked Indian teas, and find them too strong generally, though rather any tea than no tea at all.

As a child, I lived in a small town that had a tea and coffee importers still roasting their own beans at the top of the high st, and we would go there for loose tea and coffee (sadly it became a yuppy chi-chi cafe in the 90s). Now I live in the North, and go to a similar shop. My recent purchase of Russian Caravan on Saturday came out of a large blackened tin, one of many, in rows upon wooden shelves. There are sacks of coffee beans around, a roaster going, brass scales on the counter, and the whole place makes me fall over in delight every visit.


I also love Chai, preferably simmered up in a yurt somewhere and served in battered mugs by dreadlocked hippies, but I am willing to settle for my kitchen, my saucepan and cups, and a pretty boy with a ladle...

Hi, as a new deck hand I need to get my post ratings up, so where better to start? A tea drinker all my life I now resort to  good old tea bags, briefly dunked in hot water and taken with milk and no sugar. I tend to buy regular Fairtrade blends. When I am in need of extra refreshment it has to be Fujian "Pure White Tea" or silver tip if I can get it. A slice of lemon and that's it, don't overbrew as it stews quickly. Sainsbury's do it in tea bags (and no, this is not an obscure bumper sticker!)

I tried unsuccessfully to introduce Lapsang Souchong to my paternal Grandparents who said it tasted of kippers{?}

Best tea-bags that I've had in ages are a Sri Lankan variety by Dilmah, they take a little longer to brew and never reach that tannin-harsh Assam flavour that some aren't keen on. It's an incredibly refreshing black tea.

I adore tea ! i drink all types at the moment i am drinking a tea called ambrosia it has a black tea base which has rose peach orange and jasmine mixed in and is an opulent heady romantic tea and always makes me feel rosie
