I just realised how rude Ive been by not offering a full introduction, so my apologies there. Ive only just discovered that steampunk exists, as was brought up in another thread Im one of those "so thats what its called" people. I was lucky enough to bump into a gentleman at this winters goth weekend that was selling goggles that pointed out what it is.
Im more of a dystopian post apocalyptic in my style than full on steam, but its whats been unwittingly inspiring my style for years. Im a part time tailor since a climbing injury forced me out of my old job in social work. Its not bad though since it means I can dress in the style that I like rather than the usual shirt and tie affair. My true steampunk wardrobe is taking a while for me to piece together since  im somewhat tall and willowy which makes buying stuff awkward, so Im starting to create my own. Kind of a steamgoth than steampunk so far.
Finally for those curious about what the idiot behind the keyboard looks like I present my twig like self somewhat masked by my (at the time) work in progress coat.
