DISCLAIMER: THIS IS NOT MY WORK, NOR DO I HAVE ANY AFFILIATION WITH THOSE WHOSE WORK IT IS.

I'm not at all certain this has never been posted, but I didn't find it upon casual examination of the forum, and thus concluded it could hurt little to post it.

The motorcycle that brought me to TSF... I saw this posted on thekneeslider.com three months ago, and haven't looked back since. It was featured on the front page, but man am I glad to see it again.

Well then, I'm glad to know my reposting something which was on the front page hasn't been entirely without value.

That's the very first time someone drew the connection between Steampunk and the Satte Literschüssel (official name of that bike) to me. That Rötger Feldmann, also known as "Brösel", is pretty much known in Germany for his comics of debatable quality, some of them filmed, and the simple fact that he built every single motorcycle mentioned in his comics. This one is just the most stempunky creation he has done.

It all started in the middle of the 1980s with Das Rennen™ (The Race), basically a simple dragster race between a Porsche 911 and the specially built "Red Porsche Killer" based on pre-World War II Horex motors. Like most of his projects, the idea started in a pub though.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The latest project was the Dolmette, powered by twenty-four chainsaw motors.

elShoggotho, thanks for sharing those links! Funny, I seem to get a lot of crazy ideas in pubs, as well. Wink

Yes, I saw a wealth of images on the site which aroused my curiousity, but alas, I know roughly three German words. Thank you for shedding some light on it.
