Steampunk Book/SD Card holder
« on: July 20, 2021, 06:59:48 pm »
I may have posted this before but I can no longer sustain a fully working memory.

So, here it is again, or not.

I have created a Steampunk Book/SD Card holder from a copy of Somerset Maugham's "Up at the Villa". Not a book I am ever going to read and it was in poor condition to start with having lost its covered card spine. It was also from an edition that was not well specified and the general quality was not the best.

Inside I have glued a section of pages together and when dry, cut SD card-sized slots, six per page into two sections.

I reinforced then bound the spine in cloth and covered that in turn in 0.5mm lamb's leather. The card covers to front and back needed no such repair so they remain as they were originally.

Not a bad job for a rank amateur and a use given to a book that would otherwise have been thrown away.

Great job. How about one that can fit a tablet./phone plus the removable media. Actually never mind the media, you could add a power bank too.
