The word pagan came from paganus , who mean peasant . Its was a way to significate than christianism was the religion of the elite and paganism the one of the savage worker class.

When we stopped the Corn Palace was closed but we just barely caught the intern closing early at https://www.mitchellindianvillage.org/ and kept the poor guy for nearly 4 more hours.  It is a very interesting dig and we did offer to buy him dinner.
