It's been a while.
« on: April 10, 2021, 06:52:24 pm »
Hi Everyone,

It's been quite a while since I've been here. Life seems to have gotten the better of me for a few years but I'm hoping to start participating again. I put a lot of things on hold including several other forums I was very active on.

Haven't made much over the last few years but I'm hoping to start up again soon.

It's good to see a lot of the old folks are still here.

Welcome back.  :)
Oh...my old war wound? I got that at The Battle of Dorking. Very nasty affair that was, I can tell you.

Now that's spooky, I referenced your work in another thread only a week ago.

Welcome back, looking forward to any new creations I can drool over.

Your good self, Maets and Selected Grub were the main people who first piqued my interest in making something Steampunk, all those years ago.

It seems we have both found our way back to the fold.

There is something strangely comforting about returning to a gaggle of idiots you once identified with and now find yourself identifying with again.

gaggle of idiots? I think we would all prefer weirdos, or maybe eccentric individuals...... ;D

I would refer to this place as a commotion of coots.   :P

I always say, I would consider myself eccentric, except I can't afford it.

No. A gaggle would be for geese. Perhaps a shrewdness of apes, or a band of gorillas. A business of ferrets, or a conspiracy of lemurs. A tower of giraffes? A stand of flamingos, maybe. A skulk of foxes, a murder of crows or a shadow of jaguars. If you come from the antipodes, perhaps even a troop of kangaroos. But a gaggle of idiots? No. That wouldn't make sense!

Oh. How rude of us. We haven't offered any refreshments. Would you like a banana?
