I've had this idea for a while to make a bunch of steampunk action figures; enough to fill a small carry case for display. What characters should be included?

I think it was Dr Henry Jekyll. Ah! You're right of course. "Harry" is much like a nickname for "Henry". The given name of the royal personage formerly known as Prince Harry is Henry Charles Albert David. So, J-W, you aren't totally mistaken.

These are all good ideas, but I was thinking more in terms of generic types; jetpack man, submarine captain, aviatrix, etc.

I was kind of picturing a steampunk-themed toy line along the lines of the old Fisher-Price Adventure People toys; figures outfitted for settings or adventures or adventurous occupations. Maybe a few fictional characters or historic figures if they are distinctive and interesting enough.

Chemist Mendeleev.
Nikolai Kibalchich. Revolutionary, terrorist and author of one of the first projects of a manned rocket aircraft. The project was created a few days before the execution.
Nikolai Ashinov, Russian adventurer and a bit of an explorer of Africa.
Nikolai Miklukho-maklaya. Traveller, explorer of the life of the natives of Papua New Guinea.
Alexander Bogdanov / Malinovsky, another revolutionary. It's closer to dieselpunk. But he had such interesting experiences with blood.

hmm, the trick would be to simplify their features, maybe exaggerate. that would be easier for some more than others. 9 cm is not the tiniest, so i imagine it would be doable. attributes may help as well, let them hold stuff that is linked to their character here are some tesla miniatures others have made, that may serve as inspiration

IF you do Mary Anning, then her dog, Tray would be a must addition. A cross spaniel breed I believe, although no one seems to be sure as far as I can tell.........
