I know that this has been sort of covered in the Happy Christmas thread, but I would like to wish everyone a very happy new year, and thank you for the support, fun and sense of community you've provided in this troubling and parlous year. You are all stars and I count myself honoured to know you.
Thank you and may you all enjoy a healthy, peaceful and prosperous 2021.
HAPPY NEW YEAR

Oh...my old war wound? I got that at The Battle of Dorking. Very nasty affair that was, I can tell you. The Ministry of Tea respectfully advises you to drink one cup of tea day...for that +5 Moral Fibre stat.

I shall be staying up until midnight. I don't much care about 2021, but I want to be certain 2020's gone.

Let's hope it's not like Groundhog's Day.

I went to bed at 9.30, and somewhat surprisingly slept right through to the New Year - no noisy parties up in the sticks. The party was on tonight, and closed itself down by 10.30!
A Happy and Safe New Year to one and all, and may 2021 be kind to us.

A very happy New Year to all - let's hope it's not too long before we can again meet fellow Steampunks in person. My new year's resolution to to restart making 'punked items and apparel - the malaise of the last year had led to a distinct lack of motivation on my part, something I hope to banish in 2021.
Best wishes to all the citizens of Brass Goggles, Miranda.

The word pagan came from paganus , who mean peasant . Its was a way to significate than christianism was the religion of the elite and paganism the one of the savage worker class.
''Trickster shows us how we trick OURSELVES. Her rampant curiosity backfires, but, then, something NEW is discovered (though usually not what She expected)! This is where creativity comes from—experiment, do something different, maybe even something forbidden, and voila! A breakthrough occurs! Ha! Ha! We are released! The world is created anew! Do something backwards, break your own traditions, the barrier breaks; destroy the world as you know it, let the new in.'' Extract of the Dreamflesh article ''Path of The Sacred Clown''

Part me is very optimistic for next year. But another part is skeptical, and just waiting to see what happens. I've been disappointed before.
