Greetings all

I recently watched a clip from the 8th Doctor Who (stand alone movie) and if any of you have seen it, you'll know its heavily steampunk based in style. One part in particular I'm having trouble finding a picture of or a name for the control type.

This is the part I'm talking about

I'm meaning the control sort of knobs on the left side, I can't find a better image of them, but here's the clips I saw of them.
https://youtu.be/EtM_vcCoKYc?t=267

If anyone has any idea's what they are called in general or any sort of information about them would be most appreciated

Thank you all for your time

Hello,

If you mean the far left panel, the first thing you see in the youtube clip, then I believe they may be called a Stud Rheostat.

I'll see if I can find an image to confirm this.

Edit - Here's an example of one used in a Wheatstone Bridge-

Hello HP,

Thanks for giving me some info on these.

Yeah, I should have said the left most panel, that's my mistake, sorry.

I've tried searching up the name and the bridge you mentioned, but I can't seem to find much on them, but I might be looking in the wrong place.
Do they maybe have another name or do you have a site that may point me in the right dorection?

Thank you again

Hello again,

Here's valuation site that seems to have a few more of this type of thing:

https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/antique-vintage-electric-motor-rheostat-speed-adjst

Motor Rheostat does seem to be the best search combination.

Good luck!
