Ahoi

I am making a rifle that goes into a case...PARTS of the rifle. Which you can assemble when you need it (its not real so there is no real "need").
First step for me, was to replace the regular, boring handle with some brass parts. Might also add some copper to some of them brass parts!

Thanks guys.
I found it on ebay actually....I am making it for a client, had a few cases on ebay that were just PERFECT...this one was a steal though! 30 Euro! Leather...looks already steampunky.
The pattern, the color....hmmmmmmhm.

Last teaser update:
Rifle parts placed in the case, without holders yet. Looking for the best arrangement, still...and also an image (2) of the assembled rifle, without paint and details.
BUT the "bipod" is already on and working. Snaps out when you fold it down.

Very nice - just the thing to pick off those Martian invaders from well beyond the range of their heat-rays  Smiley. Outstanding work, as always.

That is by far the very best work you have ever done!
(And the rifle is pretty nice too!)

JK.....that rifle is amazing. It really is the very best weapon you have ever made (imo).
Love the scope. Is that a CO2 cartridge you have attached to the grip?
The grip itself is a work of art, what with its ergonomic curve.

Well done! And the case came out very well too.

There is nothing better than die with style...or brass.

The piece on the grip is solid brass as well. CO2 are not liked at the customs/airport...did that once, but they assumed its a SPRAY DEVICE....no tubes attached, nothing...
Need to paint it all now, put in the holders etc.

Thanks.
I will add a piece to that later ^^ its a prop and I think it looks neat, but it would look more senseful with a flat face.

Fabulous - I can't imagine how many hours of work it has taken to create. And the extra dimension given to it by its ingenious dissasembly to its parts with the associated precision and neatness of its stowage and the detailing of the grip and flip-out stand just add even more depth to the project. I'd imagine it will be a prized possesion of its future owner.

Yours,
Miranda.

Ya, the bipod was practically added for free. Springloaded. Snaps out. The scope looks superhot. His budget was streched, but I had to make it look nice.
Such a big project needs some gap filling details. Or if not gaps, too many large open wide areas...with nothing on them. Can't let that happen.

Spy briefcases were a popular toy for a few years in the 1960s:

James Bond 007 Attache Case

Topper Toys Secret Sam

Man from U.N.C.L.E.

Nerf should make one.

Yeah, saw spy kits so often, and really nice "witch" or "vampire hunter" cases, which looked super nice.
But never thought about something like that right here! Client asked for it. Guess thats the reason, why I do more than I should.
His budget was maxed out, even before the scope was on.
