The word pagan came from paganus , who mean peasant . Its was a way to significate than christianism was the religion of the elite and paganism the one of the savage worker class.

''Trickster shows us how we trick OURSELVES. Her rampant curiosity backfires, but, then, something NEW is discovered (though usually not what She expected)! This is where creativity comes from—experiment, do something different, maybe even something forbidden, and voila! A breakthrough occurs! Ha! Ha! We are released! The world is created anew! Do something backwards, break your own traditions, the barrier breaks; destroy the world as you know it, let the new in.''

I have donned my best waistcoat, waxed my moustache, pocketed my watch and a bottle of blackberry gin and will set off for the annual get-together shortly, not to return until next year  Grin

Have a wonderful New Year, chicar et al., and may the next one be far better than the last...

The Ministry of Tea respectfully advises you to drink one cup of tea day...for that +5 Moral Fibre stat.

Yes indeed, Happy New Year, and, as my niece reminded me, we are now in the Roaring Twenties .....

... but so much more exciting. I'm starting this year with one less gallbladder than I started last year with, but with a new broken nose.

Can't wait to see what this year brings.  Tongue
