Wandering around the interwebs, serendipity delivered this interesting and now and then bizarre item. It purports to be a French costume-shop catalogue from about 1910, in the lines of the party-hire place familiar today.

It may be useful if, say, we wished to dress up as somebody from 1910 dressing up, but it's fun to browse.

That's an impressive range of outfits that would put many a modern costume shop to shame. Of course, like their modern internet counterparts, the quality of the costumes themselves may not have liave up to their pictures.

Yours,
Miranda.

Perhaps so. On the positive side, there wouldn't be any synthetics, nor  plastic belts and boots.  Grin
