The word pagan came from paganus , who mean peasant . Its was a way to significate than christianism was the religion of the elite and paganism the one of the savage worker class.

''Trickster shows us how we trick OURSELVES. Her rampant curiosity backfires, but, then, something NEW is discovered (though usually not what She expected)! This is where creativity comes from—experiment, do something different, maybe even something forbidden, and voila! A breakthrough occurs! Ha! Ha! We are released! The world is created anew! Do something backwards, break your own traditions, the barrier breaks; destroy the world as you know it, let the new in.''

Eat something with maple syrup in honor of Canada.

I have been known to have maple syrup in my porridge, and, occasionally, on ice cream - yummy! And, very occasionally, on waffles, with or without ice cream. My dad did most of his wartime flying training in Canada, so when, on the odd occasion that we had maple syrup it was always the real thing!!

Every restaurant in Quebec seems to have some version of it.

I had a heart attack just reading the ingredients... Still, at least it is not pumpkin pie, a 'dessert' which my taste-buds could never cope with.

My apologies on the lateness to my Canadian friends. I hope you all on the top of the continent had a good time this Monday! As for the Maple Syrup pie, it would probably keep me up all night with the extreme injection of sugars into my system.
