My two had their first short run outside after their summer confinement - they enjoyed it, brief though it was, but happily came in for breakfast!
Keeping them safe is priority number one, hence inside during snake season - no repeat of snake-bitten cat for me (or them!).
I'd like to know why it is that the venomous ones come out in the daytime, and the non-venomous come out at night - very bad planning on someone's behalf!

Would you rather they came out at night, when it's dark and you can't see them?

Yes! Because I don't really go out much at night, and the cats are always in at night - they have curfews! I don't care what the bloody things get up to at night - they are outside and I am inside.
