Leeds Steampunk Market & Professor Elemental gig
« on: February 12, 2018, 10:42:52 pm »
Leeds Steampunk Market

Leeds Industrial Museum at Armley Mills, Canal Road, Leeds, LS12 2QF

The weekend will be as follows:

Doors open at 10am on Saturday, 11am Sunday all stalls open and trading up to 5pm.

Professor Elemental will be there on the Saturday at 1pm doing book signing / meet & greet until 3pm, hopefully taking part in the coffee jousting at 3.30.

On both days there will be a flying display from one of Amy Jo Lawrance's owls from her Flying Squadron 12pm Saturday, 2pm Sunday.

Recruiting for the Coffee Jousting (that's right, we do things different at LSM!) commences an hour before the tournament takes place - Saturday at 3.30, Sunday at 4pm.

There will be some sort of entertainment on at 12pm on the Sunday.

(Rules on coffee jousting are on a separate post/tab on this website).

Captain Cumberpatch's Curious Creations will be donating medals for the prizewinners (both 1st and 2nd)  and one also for the Coffee Jousting Beanmaster (the host).

We will have gaming on (actual names yet to be confirmed) and they will be upstairs in the boardroom just above the cafe.

The gorgeous 1920's cinema on the 2nd floor (that's one down from the entrance level!) will be showing various steampunk films - titles to be confirmed. Each film is around 90 minutes long and will be shown at 11.30 and 2pm each day.
Don't forget, if you attend on the Saturday, retain your ticket as it will gain you free admission on the Sunday - worthwhile as the traders won't be the same on both days as around 1/3 only do one day.

There will be 50 traders on two floors which will not be all the same people on both days.

There will be a tombola run to raise money for a named charity which all the traders will be donating to.
A vintage tearoom will be there for the weekend selling lovely homemade cake and cuppas as well as a few hot food vendors (as there's nowhere else close really for normal food).
Don't forget you need to pay admission to the museum itself as you will be able to see all the exhibitions there as well. If you come along on the Saturday, retain your admission receipt as it will gain you free entry on the Sunday.
Customers will be paying normal admission to the Industrial Museum itself to be able to access the traders as you will be mixed in with the whole building, the displays and the layout.

Then a gig at

the Packhorse Pub, Woodhouse Lane, LS1 6AT

Tickets £9 in advance,
£10 on the door

Doors open at 7pm.

Music starts 7.30 with Captain of the Lost Waves.

 Professor Elemental on at 9.
Gig ends at 11.

Tickets available in advance for £9 will be sold through Paypal* only on the LSM website (* booking fee applies).

Also available to buy in person at Captain Cumberpatch's stand at the LSM at Armley Mill on the day without booking fee at all!

With this venue being a pub the age limit is 14.
Under age attendees are not allowed to the bar, must be accompanied by a responsible adult and if going to the toilets or beer garden are not allowed to loiter on the ground floor (where the bar is).

Wristbands will be allocated to ticket holders on the night.

Tickets are NOT posted out -
when paying through Paypal, bring proof of your payment with you (print it out or show it on your phone) and you will be given your paper ticket on the door.

We urge you to buy in advance as the last two gigs at this venue sold out completely - this venue has a maximum capacity of 120 but that included us, sound guy and performers!

I only discovered late last night that I had the wrong postcode on the flyer for the Professor Elemental gig which is on at the Packhorse on Woodhouse Lane - the postcode Google gave me of LS1 6AT was for the Packhorse on Briggate in Leeds city centre although the photos were for the Woodhouse one - aarrgg!!
Please ensure you have the address and postcode of 208 Woodhouse Lane, Woodhouse, Leeds, LS2 9DX in your GPS!
