So I bought a stuffed unicorn the other day, I named him Nigel. Nigel needs some accessories so he can hang out with me as a steampunk fairy. I was thinking goggles, and maybe some sort of harness, so I can attach him to me to prevent loss. Any ideas?
(yes I know it's a little silly..)

How big is he?

Definitely a harness, or a saddle so that when you shrink down to your "normal fairy size" you can ride him if your wings get tired.

Is the horn metallic?

(PS ... silly?  i love steampunk with a sense of humour)

Has to be the weirdest request (almost) ever, even for BG!!
 Grin Grin Grin

Going to be tricky fitting a riding harness around the wings - wonder how Bellerophon managed with Pegasus - not well, I think as he subsequently fell off!
A unicorn's horn cries out for something very fancy!!

A quick search in Google will reveal about 1001 pictures for Steampunk 'My Little Pony." And many 3-D examples are in DeviantArt. Perhaps that could help you get an idea?  And, no, I'm not a Brony  Grin

I should have thought of my little pony! Nigel is about a 12 inch stuffed animal, he has a silver horn and hooves and a blue mane and tail. I got him at Joann's ( aka work)... He doesn't have wings, but I was thinking about adding some to the harness...

He's a shaggy little fellow ain't he? You may have to adjust the color pallette to use compatible colours (i.e silver, white) as opposed to brown gold or copper.

Consider making Steampunk wooden wings made with 0.6 mm to 2 mm thick - whatever thickness you can find- Revell brand birch plywood used for models, like ships. It's so thin you can cut it with an X-Acto knife like cardboard, it's fairly flexible, and it's *substantially* stronger than balsa wood. You can get it at Michael's (I don't know if Hobby Lobby carries Revell)

Perhaps a small rocket pack at each corner of the saddle?

DO you plan to carry him in your hands? If not, I would make a little jacket with snaps that could fasten to your belt, so that he can hang at your side. By having two loops on his jacket, you also put two straps on your belt to go through them.

Nigel will be able to be attached to my wing harness by way of the harness I an going to make for him. I have lost too many things at conventions because they were not directly attached to me.

Could you attach him with some wire so he 'flies' next to you?  Maybe put the wire into his harness in the same way that you make a stiffened lead for an 'invisible' dog? Just a thought ...
