I'm part of a Pecha Kucha evening. You get twenty PowerPoint slides, which are generally image heavy, and twenty seconds to talk on each.

My subject is Steampunk.

What do you think I should include?

A range of costume styles in general such as robot, Victorian, sexy and explorer.  Then a couple of groups taken at events.  Then some inventions, jewellery, buildings, explain tea duelling and teapot racing.  Oh, that is almost 20 isn't it.  Have some background music, maybe 3 different styles as you go through the slides.  End up with a slide with Brassgoggles address.

Ditto to Miss Frances' Response. Add in somewhere a chthulhu fandom reference with a relating bit back to Steam Punk, and a general blanket "It's not all gears and sprockets." or something like that.

Something about the literature?  Perhaps some movies?  Explain why people tend to wince when the film 'Wild, Wild West' is mentioned ....

Where exactly would this be? If it's nearby I may just come along.

I think I should also mention I had a dream about this game, only Bailey was a woman...

I assure you, that incident in Singapore was all a misunderstanding.

It's in Havelock North, Hawkes Bay. I will be at the festival in Thames on the 12th of November at Carson's Bookshop doing a book signing and possibly performing some magic. It would be great to put a face to a name if you're about.
