Captain Annemarie of the Eagle's Arrow Airship

Hey, guys. I'm a total loser and like to play steampunk dress-up games. Character creators/avatar makers were my best friends before I learned how to draw properly, and I must admit I go back to them when I'm bored and feel I've hit bottom to create random steamy characters. So here's a bunch of character creator games that I've found that can be used to make steampounk, Victorian, and Edwardian characters! Super big credit to Shing for making another dress-up games thread here ages ago: . Most of these are female only; if you can make male characters I'll point it out. I'm including examples of what ~fancy~ kinds of stuff you can make in the spoilers so you don't have to wait for a game to load only to realize you don't like the art style. Imgur squished some but whatever. Here we go!

Actual Steampunk Games - these games were intended by their creators to be steampunk!

Mega Steampunk Dress Up
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Pros: What's not to like? There's tons of choices! You can pick from a big palate of colors for hair, skin, eyes, fabric, etc., choose bodice, collar, and sleeves individually, mix and match with many hair styles, and add some great accessories including some that move (and my own personal favorite, a teeny tiny lizard).
Cons: Some clothes have a bad case of "just glue some gears on it and call it steampunk" syndrome, but those can be easily avoided. This is probably one of the best steampunk doll makers.

TeddyBlack Steampunk
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Pros: Many choices!
Cons: Do you like clutter? No? Too f*cking bad, because this game is filled to the brim with so many clothes I had to spend the first five minutes sorting them into "not bad" and "burn it, oh please, dear god, burn that thing." Also the shoes make me sad. The shoes... really freaking suck.

Clockwork Couture
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Pros: A moving background is cool, I guess...?
Cons: Yeah, I can't even come up with a pro. Literally everything is ugly, there aren't even hairstyles, nothing matches unless you want to dress the girl in a grayish shade of pink, and when I tried to save it deleted half the boots off her feet. Nope.

Lord Stevan Aristocrat
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Pros: A male character creator?!?! Unheard of! But this game is only for making masculine characters!
Cons: Can really only be used to make a dandy or a goth in brown. Limited hair, skin, and clothing colors.

Steampunk Girl Dressup
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Pros: Cool outfits! Fun little metal bird friend.
Cons: You can't customize anything and there are no neutral colors! The most subdued colors I could find were bright red, blue, and purple. You also can't get rid of the bird friend if you're heartless like I am.

Steampunk Costume Creator
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Pros: Lots of outfit variety!
Cons: Everything is brown. Everything.

Legend Steampunk Dress Up
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Pros: I think there's a way to switch the avatar's sex, but for the life of me I can't figure it out. There's a lot of great outfits to choose from, and so, so many jackets!
Cons: Limited colors (you get five hair colors, yikes) and some things don't layer well at all.

Steampunk Fashion
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Pros: Think of your favorite female steampunk character. There's a good chance you can make her, her fav weapon, and her bedroom in this game. It's so great because there are dozens of outfits, hairstyles, and accessories to choose from, as well as a huge color palate. The drag and drop thing at the end is really great as well, because you can customize the room!
Cons: There are numbered buttons for choosing things instead of a preview of what it will look like, but other than that, this game is fantastic.

Make it Steampunk Games - you can make sp characters in these with some wrangling

Dragon Rider
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Pros: There are many different clothing styles that are inspired by a whole bunch of different cultures, which is great if you want to make a character who's from somewhere other than England. You can change the colors of the clothes (yay!) and even add a dragon if you want!
Cons: I think the skin tones are a little on the gray side, but that's just my opinion. Still an awesome game!

Adventurer Maker
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Pros: A huge skin color palate, fun hair styles, face customization, and a lot of outfit choices!
Cons: The clothes come in preset colors only, but there are a lot of presets to choose from.

Victorian Butterfly
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Pros: Lots of stuff, lots of colors! I like this game.
Cons: Some of the clothes don't fit together very well (parts of a shirt or something will stick out oddly from the pants, some hats don't fall nicely on hair, etc.) and the save button doesn't work.

Mega Anime Couple Creator
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Pros: SO MANY THINGS. SO MANY COLORS. WOW. Plus you get two people to design, and they can be as masculine, feminine, or androgynous as you want! There's a wonderful selection of mustaches as well as goggles and hats to choose from!
Cons: Steampunk clothes are few and far between, as are female outfits that aren't 100000% dominated by ridiculously large anime boobs.

Mega Anime Avatar Creator
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Pros: Same as the last game, but only one person. Can be male or female, but doesn't exclude clothing from either sex (I'm so happy I've lived to see a day where my boys can wear lace and my girls wear 'staches). It's a fun avatar maker!
Cons: Same as the last one, but with less of an "oh my gosh, there's so much cleavage, how is this even possible???" issue.

Please share your creations or add any other games you think are great for wasting time dressing up steampunk characters!

I wear goggles so you can't see when I'm staring at you.
