I understand you are talking about the blog, but this announcement makes it look like the forum is down... And looks worse when you click the link and it looks like nothings happened since the middle of last year. Especially to newcomers.

Yes. If you add the line "the Forum is alive and welcomes You: ..." (something like that). It would be clearer.
