Finally, after dyeing, stretching and drying the paper I managed to get it to go through the printer. Final gauge face;

All the rough edges will be hidden when the gauge is put together.

I am still working on the components for the machine, but have got 90% of what I need to put it together. This is the strange case of the gauge face inspiring the machine.
