And on another note... what are you all doing posting so early on a Saturday morning...? (Just got up 45 minutes ago.) I'll be out on errands today, so hopefully Grey won't be needed too direly for anything. I'm just kind of flapping around uselessly anyway.
As I shall come to your aid!!! WOO HOO! Mr. Shank saves the day.

MrFats. How exactly are you able to see what is going on with Lazaras, much less able to communicate?

MWAHAHA!! We all secretly have psychic powers but nobody knows... As long as you don't talk about what other people are doing (who you shouldn't be able to know what they are doing) In character, than it should be fine.

Seen? No, he had heard, via your ships communications relays, (he found the channel, what have you) However, seeing as how it seem more ludicrous than anything else, I changed the post.

HAC, I introduced the setting and figured that I should allow you to supplement with Ishmael's thoughts and impressions upon having come aboard. Either way I shall hopefully be able to continue (or: come to the point) some time tomorrow.

Ottens, I just saw that, and nicely done too.. I think that despite the time difference between you and I, it seems to be working well. I look forward to seeing how this plays out..

No, it's just a meeting between the Elders of OBSCURE and Ishmael on board the Peril.

I'm not a leader/founder anyway, and goodness knows where Etherington is right now... Edit: Oh my. I hope we aren't moving into a period of nuclear... that is, phlogistonic warfare.

Actually, it would be just the opposite, think one who started out evil, and is used to great power, but ends up working, inspite of himself for the "good" side.. Internal conflicts, sense of great honour that gets in the way sometimes, all that stuff, classic Victorian bad novel stuff..

"man" is not inherently good, he is however inherently "selfish". "goodness" is an ideal. "selfishness" is a shortcoming for which man as a species has a proven preference. The sum of all ideals is called "perfection". Each ideal is a unique facet of the whole [perfection] and hence every ideal is perfect. The idea of the sum of all ideals embodied in a man is called "God". Man in actuality is not perfect. Man may hence approach every ideal through service to it, but never achieve that ideal, for in that moment he ceases to be "man" and becomes [a] "God". To claim to be a man, and have achieved any ideal is dishonest. hence, no man may claim to be "good" and also be honest, because the former is *taxonomically* impossible. better to claim to be "selfish" and "somewhat honest" and "trying to learn". at least then ones decisions and actions have a chance at being inline with one's claims.

I have a suggestion to make. As the Salvage thread seems to be dominated by HAC and Ottens...could you two please make a splinter thread? I honestly have no bloody clue what ELSE is going on in salvage now...if anything.

I concur that things do get a bit one-sided, with posts dominated by two or three members only. However, if it is happening in Salvage, it should stay there. For any other matter such as Leviathan, it would be in the League thread, etc.

I suppose it isn't helping that stress from elsewhere is clouding my thinking but it gets a bit daunting to break into a thread with two or so pages worth of long winded doings by three people.

That does seem to be the best course of action. That's why I migrated to the LoI thread. We should still be sure to note if we're moving for a while, of course. Otherwise others may have trouble locating your character.

Sir, I am afraid to be the one to convey this information...however the Council Wars have long past...they have gone to dust and rubble, no one has posted in those long months, and it was left to ruin.
