Vale
Leonard Cohen, and PBS News Hour reporter Gwen Ifill.

The PBS News Hour is broadcast by SBS (Special Broadcasting Service) in Australia, and Ifill was one of the reasons why I would watch this American news over any other.

I am so sorry.

This week has been just ghastly.  So has this year.

I am sorry for your loss, ForestB. My one of my cousins is a kidney recipient twice over - he made it to 54 on the 11th, but there have been some very dodgy moments along the way.

It has been a bad year all round. I didn't know about Robert Vaughan.

I lost two cousins in the first six months of the year, as well as my dog and one of my two cats. I live alone, so the loss of my four-legged companions has been difficult to deal with.
