I'm popping this one here rather than Aural-Ocular as it is dealing with historical fact. It's also one for people with access to iPlayer as the last in the series was this evening. Anyway, it's been a very informative piece, hosted by the ever engaging Dr Lucy Worsley and antiques expert Mark Hill, revealing some of the quirkier aspects of antiques and the social backdrop behind them. Episode 2, looking at aspects of travel, was my favorite with its section on inventive Victorian baggage. (A bed in a trunk? No problem!). In particular there was a wonderful example of a travelling desk enough more draws, cubby-holes and secret compartments than you might expect to find in a sub post office.
