It's certainly pretty, but Pluto isn't really steampunk..... However, his friend Donald, on the other hand....

I grant you, not as Steampunk as the above, but for a demoted planet, he is trying... There are also a number of variations on this: The discovery of the planet ( very nice pictures, by the way, Maets) itself falls outside our normally accepted Steampunk timeline, however the Steampunk-embraced Cthulhu mythos identifies the (former) planet as Yuggoth, home of the Mi-go. "The Whisperer in Darkness", 1931. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Whisperer_in_DarknessNow, if these very detailed pictures of Pluto ever reveal "great tiers of terraced towers built of black stone", I'm gonna (noun).

...There are also a number of variations on this: It is a complete tangent, but after likewise finding images of that young lady,I realised there would therefore be another rather unfortunately-titled Sailor Scout...

Oh...my old war wound? I got that at The Battle of Dorking. Very nasty affair that was, I can tell you. The Ministry of Tea respectfully advises you to drink one cup of tea day...for that +5 Moral Fibre stat.

Surely I'm not the only one who's noticed that one of Pluto's smaller moons, Kerberos, is also named after a dog. Funny coincidence, that ...... Now I've just realised that another Plutonian moon, Nix, is also named after a dog - a yappy little white poodle-pom cross that used to belong to a neighbour of mine ..... though why anyone would want to name a moon, even such an insignificant one, after an ankle-nibbling mutt with a bad attitude, is a mystery to rank with the Voynich Manuscript..... but three times is more than coincidence I think.... As above if you don't want to leave BG. Nice find, I feel so much better informed. And, of course, I just had to Wiki 'pareidolia' - how appropriate.

Anyone read E. E. 'Doc' Smith's "Lensman" series? The Palainians have a presence on Pluto!
