What I think is happening is the kraken ship referenced here has appeared to stop the pirates from shooting down the kraken. http://www.brassgoggles.co.uk/bg-forum/index.php?topic=4705.msg166341#msg166341Either that or we have angry talking krakens now. Which ever it turns out to be will be a giant leap in to weirdness. I suggest we take advantage of the confusion and blast the rest of the pirates and get out of there before they go after us. |

Um...err...I was trying to spice up the game as it were.  Miss Stella, is indeed correct about the connection. My idea is as follows:- My plan for the Kraken was partly based on the combining of the Vorlon Transporter & Vorlon Star Dreadnought from Babylon 5 and an Air-Kraken. |

Oh my... I've been away for over a fortnight (a week in Taize and a week off camping in the Forest of Dean) and I'm five pages behind. Welcome back Ben. Everything has gone a bit chaotic but in a good way I hope. Here is another of my most likely far too short summeries.
Well this is more or less what has been happening on The Boheme
Patrick and Emma were working on fixing the aether stacks when Trip came to offer help. Emma went off with him and George rilled up Patrick to pull a prank on him. While looking for some notes Emma and Trip talk ending in what is most likely her second kiss. While this is going on Nathanial and Charles are fighting. Nate ditches Charles, steels his airship and charges off to get Trip.
Georg was not happy at all about the kiss and Emma came to apologies for leaving Patrick to do the repairs but she was so embarrassed it took a while for her get the words out. A truce between Patrick and Trip led to some teasing and all three of them going out to patch the skin tougher. As they dangle over the side Nate catches up to them sees Emma with Trip and Patrick and suspects the worst. In London Charles gets a second ship to chase Trip and Nate.
Nate hales The Boheme saying he is looking for a criminal and Emma lets him aboard. That turned out to be a very bad idea as Nate grabs her convinced he is saving her from kidnappers. Emma tries to reason with him but it doesn't work and she can't get loose. Trip sticks to his story of a stranger with his face and frees Emma from the mad ranting Nate. While they subdue him George comes back with bad news. They are flying in to a Russian led ambush.
They tossed the ranting Nate in to The Boheme's brig and took up weapons. Everyone ran to man the cannons as the first ships approached. Twenty smaller lighter ships were being led by five big strong slow ones. Three of the little ones attacked us and Patrick managed to shoot one of them down while almost being knocked off the ship. Trip picked him up and noticed an absolutely horrible sight, air krakens had come to investigate.
Nate's ship was distroyed by the kracken and The Boheme had to avoid them and the pirates. Patrick gets Emma to make some very powerful shells to take out the larger ships with but while she is working on them The Boheme is boarded by pirates. She finishes them and they get passed off to Trip as the first boarding party attacks. The fight is going well when a booming voice from a kracken ship hybrid stops everyone in their tracks.

Well it depends on which storyline you are wanting to get in to. I can't say much about the one in London but right now The Boheme is fighting pirates and a kraken ship. If you wanted to slip in there I could help you. You might want to pm Linners to get in on the London story.

My character is currently on a passenger airship headed for London airspace. From what I've seen there seems to be a confusing lot of pirates and krakens. Is it ok for my character to make an entrance? And if so, anything I need to know? I'm new to this thread.

Well the Boheme isn't near London at the moment we are going to Shenjing China and passing through the Hindu Kush some of the tallest, wildest and most pirate-infested mountains in the world hence the confusion. You can charge right in if you want that is what I did when I started.

My dark ship will be appearing around the vicinety of the boheme after all this fighting and such is gone...to make the plot evan MORE confusing...anyway I wont be delt with so easilly as nate I may just happen to have a few high-tech weapons under my beloved trenchcoat..
