I must say Mr. Wells that was one hell of a curve ball. I think poor Emma is about to lose it.

Pardon me, but I'm a bit confused....Hiram is in London and Mr. Umbrella left the ship a while ago.

I think what happened was Mr. Umbrella left but was watching over the ship saw the bird thing and came back. Mr Wells might of gotten confused about Mr. Umbrella's name or didn't realize that were two different people. But I could have completely missed the mark he was aiming for.

I must admit to being slightly confused as well. Has the Boheme even left Cairo yet? I don't recall that it had. I was also under the impression that Mr. Umbrella was definitely not on board - particularly if we have, indeed, left the city, which I know he had not intended to do.

My post definitely had Mr. Umbrella leave the ship after stating he had no intention to remain on it to Kabul, and as far as I know, the ship is still in port in Cairo.

Additionally, I believe we had another game participant who wished to join in and had situated his character in Cairo, but hadn't managed to fully integrate himself?

Yes, that's what I remember. He was last heard from in the first class passenger lounge at the aerodrome.

I believe it was Mr. SalieriAAX? Is he still with us?
Torvald, Cairo's getting pretty crowded, and I think we're planning on departing soon, which could make getting your character involved complex. If you can but be patient, might I suggest you join us in Kabul? I was planning on dragging Lakshmi into the city to look up a contact (who might be able to provide some protection against the air-pirates known to haunt the Hindu Kush). That might be an ideal time for your character to stage a grand entry.

I can be very patient if need be. Heck, it probably handier to be patient; I haven't got access to my own PC at the moment. To top it off, I do like grand entries I shall wait

Mr Wells you may wish to repost the note here so Ben can see it. If you want I could help you rewrite your original entry or add things to mine because right now we are kind of fragmented. Don't worry too much about mixing things up we have a complicated organic story growing wild here. I must admit I am very curious about the sudden love confession thing could you tell me either here or via pm where you were going with that?

Dear Jessica,
Uhm, where are the air pirates coming from? I think the Boheme is still docked in Cairo.

I think Mr. Wells and I have things set up now. Sorry if I made Mr Umbrella a bit our of character but if he would call Henri a frog calling Emma a loony isn't far off.
As for the pirates I am confused as well.

Dear Stella,
do what you like with Mr. Umbrella. I was just surprised that he was back on the ship after he had left.

This might be a bit unmannerly, but if Jessica doesn't post a follow-up on the pirates soon, we might just ignore the post (or postpone it's action) and move on with getting the Boheme on to Kabul.

I was thinking of reconciling the disparate story-lines by having the pirates attack while the Boheme is still in dock at the Cairo aerodrome. Perhaps a pirate crew has just broken free of the Cairo jail and are attempting to take to the air in any ship they can commandeer?
Unless, of course, Miss Butcher has plans for them. If that is the case, I await with bated breath!

Good idea- I had no idea what I was doing at all. Good to know for sure that we're still in Cairo- I was confused about that as well.

I'm looking forward to hearing from Hiram.
Lilli is firmly convinced that George is imaginary. In certain ways, Lilli is a lot less broad-minded than the crew of the Boheme.

How dare you let Real Life interfere with the progress of the game, Mr. Hudson? I'm going to assume that Lakshmi and Ben are still on the bridge with the guns and the ashes of the note, Lilli and Emma are heading for the galley and a pot of tea, Miss Butcher is in the engine room, and our other crew members are... in assorted places. If anybody has any objections to this, please post them and I'll redact what I've written.

Dear bluestocking,
I got a good laugh out of your last post. My character got named "Lilli" because I had watched "Blazing Saddles" the previous night with Madelaine Kahn playing "Lilli von Shtupp". Your comment that Lilli might have the intruders singing Edelweiss over schnapps and cocoa reminded me of a later scene in the movie where "Lilli" has a group of German soldiers singing around a campfire.
