     Dear AFGNCAAP,

If you're interested, I'll PM you the details of the adventure.  There are a number of possibilities for "NPC" characters that could be interesting.

Thank you all Smiley It was all a bit 'and with a single bound Jack was free', but hey. In case you were wondering, all the Russian is genuine, though perhaps not all relevant... Tongue

I thought we had already departed Gibraltar and were en route to Cairo? (I may be very confused...) BtB, how long does that trip take in-game?

Tomorrow is Deadline Day at work, so don't expect anything from me until Wednesday. I just can't write tonight for whatever reason. Thanks to everyone for bearing with me and my wacky work schedule Smiley

I thought we'd just docked in Cairo and only had a short time there.

Oho, I have a very vague recollection of someone mentioning leaving Gibraltar... hang on.

~some time later~ Nope, no idea where I got that from. As far as I know, we are still in Gibraltar, but I told everyone to get a move on Tongue Next stop is Cairo, yes? Route might have to be changed after that to make up for lost time. Perhaps on the way back we could ignore the Colonel's instructions and go directly. It would let us have some exciting air combat if nothing else Smiley

Ah, I was mistaken. My apologies, sir.

Some form of exciting air combat could be quite amusing. I have some bits floating around in my head that could work well...

Actually, I did write a short sequence where I comment that the Boheme's takeoff was less than smooth.  That's why I assumed we were on our way to Cairo.

Argh, didn't see that. I've buggered it up a bit, it appears Tongue
Ne'er mind, I'll have us docking in an hour or so (busy ATM). I had just left it open in case anyone wanted to do it. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Harold: I fear you might Smiley No matter, progress in terms of game time has been slow thanks to our rather adventurous voyage so far.

Salieri: Feel free! That was a very nice post. I (or someone else) will make sure it is linked in somewhere.

Everyone: Well, we're in Cairo now. One thing that has occurred to me - would it be a good idea to make a simple synopsis of the game so far? The thread is now very long indeed, and I fear that for a newcomer it would be impossible. It was hard for me, and I only had 5 pages or something of that order to deal with! Also, what has happened to the actual London plotline? This is the Steam London RPG afterall and most of the writing is occurring in foreign lands.

Edit: Or equally, perhaps a thread split?

Nonetheless, I am having a fantastic time, and it is helping me to stretch my writing muscles. Sadly, they get very little exercise nowadays.

May I suggest the use of the extant Game Guide thread for a synopsis? I must admit, though, that reading through the previous pages of the thread was a great deal of fun, and really gave me a better feel for the mood of the game than I would have had if I had jumped right in after reading a brief summary.

Now that we've landed in Cairo, I've added the first part of Oliver and Lilli's short side adventure.

Well I am new to this but I am going to jump on in. I hope the captain of the Bohème has space for one more lady aboard.   I don't eat much and I am handy to have around.

Miss Gaslight,

Fabulous introduction! My only complaint... tweed? In Egypt? I'm sorry I didn't specify in an earlier post, but Lakshmi is most likely wearing white muslin at this point Smiley

     Dear Jessica,

Thank you for letting me "borrow" Oliver for a little while.

     Dear Harold,

I've made Hirams employee here older, but fit, and respectable looking.  He is moderately cultured, but he does have his British prejudices against other nationalities, hence the "Froggie" nickname.

     Dear AFGNCAAP,

I hope you don't mind me introducing Demetri's uncle Henri to the scenario.  We had PM'ed about him earlier.  I needed to keep pace with the others adventures, so I wrote him in and will get him on the Boheme.
