I found this advert on a band's page. It looks like it might be fun if you're in the area that weekend.
Here's the website for the event:

If anyone goes, would you mind giving the rest of us a report?

Yeah, I know. There was an event in Texas I was priced out of, as well.
I've heard this about other conventions/festivals/what-have-you as well. Is a higher ticket price becoming the "norm"? I realize you have to pay for the space, the entertainment, insurance, and what-not, and some of the higher price tickets are an all-inclusive VIP weekend type deal, but I've noticed even some of the day passes seem a bit steep.
Is it like that all over, or just for some events?

In addition, ok so I'm nitpicking, the 'food' selection sounds meh. A restaurants 'free continental breakfast' sounds similar.
No, I didn't go, so I should give the benefit of doubt, but I'm skeptical because of events in the past(any event not any in particular).
TeslaCon was $60-80 (can't remember) for 3 days. Screaming deal compared to this.
