One thing that is very annoying is the lack of currently playing information.
If this sort of thing is designed to introduce people to new pieces of music that said person may want to (I don't know) BUY. Then there is no easy way of working out who the hell it is and where their nearest retail facilities are.

Admittedly there are links to the "website" where a .pls is available but would it really have been that tricky to interrogate the pls at tunein? SHODDY CODING!

I'll post up my monumentally long playlist from the weekend (once I remember where I put my notes).

We'll see if there were any boundaries to be found.

Given my earlier posts, I do hate, HATE to contradict myself but unless an ironic angle can be found I might have to draw the line, very neatly in front of the birdie song....

Father Abraham looks a little steamy.

Guess I was justified in playing it then.

I always found the Star Wars Cantina music was Steampunk:

The 2Cellos are my favorite Steampunk musicions.

For Dieselpunk I think The Baseballs are great. New popmusic saturated with a Rockabilly sauce.

Edit:  in a certain fashion, everything before 1918 is steampunk and everything pre-1979 is dieselpunk.

The word pagan came from paganus , who mean peasant . Its was a way to significate than christianism was the religion of the elite and paganism the one of the savage worker class.

''Trickster shows us how we trick OURSELVES. Her rampant curiosity backfires, but, then, something NEW is discovered (though usually not what She expected)! This is where creativity comes from—experiment, do something different, maybe even something forbidden, and voila! A breakthrough occurs! Ha! Ha! We are released! The world is created anew! Do something backwards, break your own traditions, the barrier breaks; destroy the world as you know it, let the new in.''

So all the steampunk music by steampunk bands that been available for the last ten years, is, not really steampunk after all!  Embarrassed

Not when you consider Atomicpunk (1945-1979-ish) a subgenre of Diesel.

But lets not have a debate about the definition of dieselpunk in our debate about the definition of steampunk music.

Edit: I just saw my mystake. Sorry to have make you believe than my datation was inclusive whiles it was exclusive. I just corrected it.
