Hmm, maybe some of the clever tinkerers in this forum would build some for less than the sum of my life savings? if I knew anything about mechanisms, gears and timings etc I would give it a go.

Just order the 2X insert for the eyepiece to keep from Jonesing, then work on the gear-and-clockwork-driven equatorial mount later.
