The word pagan came from paganus , who mean peasant . Its was a way to significate than christianism was the religion of the elite and paganism the one of the savage worker class.

''Trickster shows us how we trick OURSELVES. Her rampant curiosity backfires, but, then, something NEW is discovered (though usually not what She expected)! This is where creativity comes from—experiment, do something different, maybe even something forbidden, and voila! A breakthrough occurs! Ha! Ha! We are released! The world is created anew! Do something backwards, break your own traditions, the barrier breaks; destroy the world as you know it, let the new in.''

I remember that!  Grin

I would hardly call it a mass panic, but it did confuse a few old ladies who got concerned about their favorite TV host. The BBC got a few worried phone calls and a couple of angry letters to the "points of view" TV show. Most people understood it was a Halloween prank.  Cheesy

Oddly enough, it is almost exactly the same format as used by TV presenter Yvette Fielding and her "Most Haunted" UK TV series which was supposed to be real, but was full of fake "evidence" of paranormal activity. I remember seeing a lot of leaked unbroadcast footage, there was a lot of fakery on the part of the production crew! It made the above program look totally legit!  Cheesy

It wasn't just the crew, I remember moons ago certain members of a well known urbex site, calking with glee, about how they'd secreted themselves in roof voids and ducting etc of a well known and abandoned Insane asylum ready to "$hissle right up" the presenters and crew!!
