"War of the Worlds: Goliath" Novelization
« on: December 04, 2014, 05:01:55 pm »
Greetings, all! My name is Adam J. Whitlatch, a science fiction/fantasy author and editor. I'm new here, but I'm looking forward to getting to know you all.  :)

This year, I had the honor of writing the official novelization to the animated film War of the Worlds: Goliath.

On the eve of World War I, the Martians have returned to finish what they started fifteen years ago, but this time humanity is ready. Armed with steam-powered battle machines created from reverse-engineered alien technology, the global defense force A.R.E.S. prepares for the coming conflict as tensions rise in Europe. Captain Eric Wells, an orphan of the first War of the Worlds, commands Earth's newest, most formidable weapon... the colossal battle tripod GOLIATH.

The novelization features deleted scenes, expanded character backgrounds, and all-new material that expands upon and goes beyond the film. It's available now for Kindle, Nook, Kobo, and Apple iBooks e-readers. A paperback edition is currently in the works.

Thank you, sir!

I hear ya. Tripod is still working on getting the movie released in the UK. The novelization, however, IS available in the UK, and it will give you deleted scenes (including the cut love scene).  ;)

Moving thread to "Trading" as it's pretty much just an advert so far...

I am a node of Server,
                      Born of flesh and blood,
But enhanced by the power of its web.
I have no use for pain or fear.
My scripts are a focus of my will.
                      My strength is my knowledge.
                      My weapons are my skills.
Information is the blood of my body.
I am part of the greater network.
I am host to the vast data of server.
                      My flesh is weak,
                      But my connection is eternal,
And therefore I am a god.

Me too! I listen to the radio show every year on Halloween. And when I heard Luka's version of "Forever Autumn" during the opening credits of WOTW:G, I sat up in my chair. I had both musicals playing in the background a lot while I was working on the novel.
