The name i use for this board (as well as most anything i do in the Steampunk world) is Ricardo Ignatious Muerte.  Its basically a "steaming up" of a My long running nickname "Rico Muerte" (and yes, i did steal the name from max payne. The name was too good to just belong to some forgetable mid-boss!)

This is also serving as a semi-introductory post, so here goes.
Reivenne is the invented name Ive signed on my artwork for a few years now, since high school really. I get called Rei by some close friends but prefer Reivenne as it sounds interesting I suppose Tongue

See, that's what I get for not paying attention!  He is on here, he's Xavier St Cloud.

Introductory post here, I guess.

My boyfriend came up with my name. He was really looking for his own (not sure what he's settled with, yet) and Penny Farthing came into his head first.

It was too good to pass up, so I took it. Cheesy

Speak of the devil and he appears (well, eventually)...

It was the name of a Vampire the Masquerade character and I was stuck for a persona name.

Don't know if I've already added to this thread and, to be honest, I'm too lazy to go back and check.
However, to the point ( at last, I hear you cry! ).
I got Ezra from the steampunk name generator on the front page. I've never been overly happy with it, though.  Anyhow, over the past week or so a name has been growing on me. "Sir Hilary Codswollop". I just like it. So, although I can't change my username, I will probably add this to my signature and change my name by deed poll, as it were.

Jack Michael Estfield Raptor (Jack is my real name, the rest are not), Royal Air Navy Gunner from the 154Th Sturm Raptors battalion. I placed my real name (Jack) with my uncle name's (Michael, but everyone calls him Mike), then I added Estfield for a slightly more Victorian ring. Raptor was added due to my placement in the RAN.

Yeah, not the best way to bring a persona into existence, but it works.

I don't really so much have a persona yet, though I'm working on it. My Screen name though comes from the Japanese words Shi and Ku, which are 4 and 9 respectively, and the 'a' was added, because I found most sides already had a registered "Shiku", so it stuck.

Hah. This!
Mine is short for Michelle....but I do think if I joined again, I'd call myself ' Domino' because the initials are made up from my Father's, Mother's and my Christian names, ( and they have now both passed on).

way way back in early 60s uk tv history there used to be a kiddys program about a
girl with extending arms n legs called TWIZZLE, despite me being a guy the name
was dropped on me around 40 years back due to me being a giant, 40" inside leg n
long arms, only had a 24" waist back then but have the normal midage spread now.
the name sorta stuck over the years n now theres hundreds about the world with
the name in all walks o life, even companys, yatchets n a town in oz called TWIZZLE

For some reason, that scene in Tombstone comes to mind...  You all know the one, "I'd take the deal 'n crawfish..."

Have no idea why, but any time someone says "Speak of the Devil..."

Anyway, to go ahead and answer before I'm asked,

I already did it.

Hello all, I guess this is kinda an intro post. I am Sergeant Robert Isaah Glas. The name I chose because well its my grandfather's name, except the last name was translated into Irish Gealic because well I am proud to be Irish, well my grandfather is a big hero to me so it was kind of an homage to him that I chose the name. As for having the rank, well the persona served with the US Marines then the US Army and finally the British Royal Marines before becoming a gun-for-hire so the last rank he had kinda stuck. And very very few people call him Robert, slightly more call him Glas. Hehe kinda like real life for me. Smiley

Prof. Icegreen Darkseed.

Having an overactive imagination, I think up lots and lots of things, especially as i'm driving most of the day (i'm a service tech) so I like to think of myself of a bit of a Professor (arrogant, you say ? - Definably Cheesy ) icegreen Is my favourite Colour and Darkseed Is taken from a great film i saw when I was younger - Darkstar - a great film - but "Icegreen Darkstar" sounded too "spacey".

'Kensington gore' is theatrical blood, a nod to my love of horror films and games. I always thought it would be an excellent name for a steampunk sort of person. Though not part of my screen name, I'm toying with the first name being Guenevere, an archaic version of my real name. Too medieval?

Okay here goes... I dearly hope I haven't inadvertently taken on someone else's name.

I've finally gotten around to working on my persona name, even though I've been using the name I use for Middle-Ages Re-creation combined with my area of ancient/medieval study (cryptography + Lucien = cryptolucien). So I've always like the Scots/Irish names of my ancestors and found a way to combine those with homage's of my son and nephew and came up with "Phineas Ferbert McGillicuddy". Since I am going with a "mad tinker" type persona, one of my son's favorite shows (Phineas and Ferb) and the names of two of my ancestor's couple together nicely (Finn and Ferbert). My sis and her son have the last name of McGill, so I tied that in with the name McGillicuddy.

It's also the name of the street in London where the Royal Albert Hall is located.  A good Victorian connection there...  Welcome!

Professor Esteban Von Grümbleflick.

No, I don't take myself seriously at all.

Professor = Why not? There are plenty of Captains and Doctors around (I'm not saying you're unoriginal, or by the same token that Professor is unique- but I just always liked the sound of the word!).

Pomp = On Sparegoggles where I signed up recently, my signature said "Victor Von Grümbleflick". I've since decided that "Victor" sounded too close to "victorian". We watched the dramatisation of Pratchett's Going Postal on Sky. My 5 year old nephew loves it alas much as I do, however, he can't quite get past the Manchester accent of the main character- so, "mr, Pump", the Golem, became "Mr. Pomp". I found this rather funny and thought it might fit as a forename.

Von = pointless padding that makes it sound somehow grander.

Grümbleflick = This is the embarrassing bit. I used to use the nickname "Hannibal Grumbleflick III" on a forum a million years ago. It was a rock club's forum and I thought it was funny to not have a nick that contained the words "Skull", "Kill" or "Snake". You know the type. This is going way back, remember. Anyway, Overseas folk may not, but UK readers of Viz or Roger's Profanisorus might recognise a "Grumble Flick" as being a movie designed for "Adult Entertainment". I thought it was hillarious.
I added the little umlaut above the U to make it sound exotic. "Von Groomblflick". No-one need ever know!

That's about it, really. I'm just a big child. I find rubber chickens and farts funny.

My first name "Trillian" was a nod to The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which is one of my favorite books. I just typed in Xtra becaue at the time it sounded cool. Not so sure now, but it works!
