Atterton, do you think everyone on this forum (minus a few) is a small population? I would move to Victorianna.
Would anyone else?

Well, the members of this forum hardly numbers in the millions. Last time I think we were up to 1600 members. Even Lichtenstein has more people than that.

So, we'd make up for small numers in our ingenuity, craft, humour and everything else we do! We're so cool.

My point was more that we hardly need a lot of space.

I hadn't thought about that. You're right. (dammit!) Okay, a few steamers or a small island, what's the vote?

Considering the small population, a hostile takeover of a small english village might be best. One near the coast preferably, would make trade easier.

Landsend! Perfect! It'd be so easy as well. Full of cornish hippies and surfers, no problem.

Sealand is for sale.
http://geography.about.com/od/politicalgeography/a/sealand.htm

We could buy it and actually make it a country this time... "New Sealand"!  :-D

Well if half the people of Pitcairn are going to end up in prison, perhaps that would be easy to take over.

Right, I just want to know, not that I expect it to happen, if Victoriana became a reality, who would move there?
Heh, New Sealand. Sounds familiar.

I'm in college, then I'll be going to University. If there was such a place by then, I'd strongly consider moving there.

But then again, I'll be studying Electronic Engineering, so I'm not sure if I'd have a job there  Roll Eyes

Well as I mentioned earlier, I think we would end up only recreating the bad things of victorian england, not the good things. Besides since we can´t discuss politics on here, we might find out we have very different views on how such a place should be run.

I'm sure electronic engeneering and Steam engeneering aren't too different.
And yes, our political views may be different, but why can't we dicuss them on here?

Politics shouldn't be allowed on the internet.

It always just comes down to name calling.

I´d say those two kind of engineering might be using rather different principles.

Discussing politics is against the house rules. If you´re trying to create a country, I´d say some kind of common ideals and politics is more important than a shared hobby. Which is why I wouldn´t move there.

I don't know much about engeneering, but I'm pretty sure stuff that do the same jobs have the same names, which is a start.

And if polotics is not allowed then fair enough, but I shall say this: With the people of this forum, Comunism may work. May.
Anyway, we should leave that at that and invent a flag! I'm guessing brown and brass colours with cogs?

I'm only coming if I can bring my Land Rover. That said, you can safely appoint me minister for trams, trains, and ferries.

You´d have to modify it to run on steam first.  Wink

Easy! Just need to find a smallish steam plant that can produce around 400bhp. Well I don't want to go through the effort of converting it if I only get the same power as standard...
