brass dog tags

In case nobody else saw this... It's in the U.S. and the guy only accepts checks, but I did some business with him, and he's the real deal. The brass tags with stamped font are easy to distress and scratch up to make them properly punkish. I'll post a picture of mine sometime. The prices are about half of any other brass tags I've seen online, and he's even got brass chains to go with/through them.

Brass bead-chain and fasteners are available at most hardware / DIY stores, if they do not. Be warned, however, that no matter how diligently you clear-coat it, you WILL turn green, and be in imminent danger of being accused of being a Martian spy.

I intentionally beat them up. That seemed so much more punkish. Sandpaper and salt water. They age quite well, but it takes almost a week in salt water to really get the full greening effect (assumption made from the time I left them in salt water and the amount they greened).
You can choose on the site if you want a stainless steel chain(s) or brass. There should be an option, because I ordered one SS chain and another brass one.

I suppose it saves the bounty hunters having to carry a whole head back to base...

Try vinegar to turn them green with, you might have to cut it with water. I have been told butter milk will do it too.
