The Third annual Birmingham botanical Gardens Perambulation and Punknic

August 20th

11.00am

Car park

Birmingham Botanical Gardens
Westbourne road
Edgbaston
Birmingham
B15 3TR

Price £6 entry. (please have the exact amount as they require us to pay in one block and I can't be carrying change for rich people with tenners)

Bring a picnic to enjoy and share with others if you so wish. I will be making nom noms as always and look forward to seeing what delights others will make  Grin
I may be able to make this - big challenge will be driving and getting past Weston where the V Fest is as that usually creates travel chaos on the A41

Despite the bad weather the picnic is still going ahead. Stiff upper lip and what!

Persons intending to travel by open carriage should select a seat with their backs to the engine, by which means they will avoid the ashes emitted therefrom, that in travelling generally, but particularly through the tunnels, prove a great annoyance; the carriage farthest from the engine will in consequence be found the most desirable.

Actually, it wasn't all that bad, was it?  Though I believe Pete has evidence of somebody's umbrella in the drink.

I don't know quite what you were saying to the parakeet Aubrey, but from my vantage point it rather looked like an argument...

I hope everybody managed to have a good time yesterday. Sorry we didn't make it along; after a rather fraught packing up from camping on Friday due to wind and rain followed by a terrible journey back (note to self - don't try to travel along the M4 in the future when it seems most of the population of South Wales were on it too going to the V festival), the family didn't feel up to much yesterday. We'll try to do better next time!

Yours,
Miranda.

Hi. My husband, Adam Bucket, and I are keen to join in with the West Mids group of Steampunks.
We met Aubreay & some other lovely folks at my Birthday party back in May when he hosted some tea duelling!

We had a FAB time last weekend at Asylum in Lincoln.  Adam's wheelchair attracted some lovely attention which he enjoyed as did I.

I'm new to forums so please say hello if we met you in Lincoln.

Hi Marigold,
We meet every other week at either Ma Pardoes in Netherton or the Lamp in Dudley, sorry I cant remember which one it is this week (I'm sure Kev will let us know).
We were at the Asylum, though I dont think we met. (I'm the dashing one in the pith helmet)

I look forward to meeting you soon.

I've just been having a look over at the Facebook page (limited view as I'm not registered with FB) and I just wished to confirm - there's a planned outing to Tamworth castle on the 24th?

Yours,
Miranda.
